If you're capped rank and don't mind alternative activies (Raises, enfeeb spam, basically not nuking ever) the best you can get from campaign is 5400/hour - typically, I wouldn't count on anything about 4.5k just from mobs not showing, travel time, etc.

Debuffs (blind, poison, etc) will grant xp when they land or resist, "no effect" does not. Best bet is to find a target that is immune to enfeebles, or to spread your spells out over every mob that is being fought. Plus side you get AN for ANNM, downside, slower than pets.

Haven't bothered myself, but I can't see us making decent xp in FoV without a party. No reduced HP from pets, so you're either fighting very weak mobs and most of the xp is from the FoV, or you're taking a long time to fight tougher mobs. Either case, I can't imagine much more than 3k/hour if you are very very good.

Stick to pets. Mindnumbing, sure, but it's fastest.

Edit: Fingers faster than mind

If it's the G-9 pet camp in Newton, campaign and FoV won't come close to the exp you can get at that pet camp. When I did BLM duo with my friend through that camp, we were probably getting up over 8k exp/hour. Recently, we did that camp as a SCH duo, and we were clearing 10k per hour.

It's an amazing camp. It's not wonder it's so popular.

Edit: You really don't need AF hat right now anyway. I used Shaman's Cloak => Black Cloak until Errant body at 72.

I never liked the second Newton camp :(

At your level you might be able to do Vunkerl Inlet if you are decently geared and experienced enough with pet killing. Since you presumably do not have magic skill merits for your BLM, you may want to bring a second BLM or SCH or whatever; EXP at that level will still be good in a duo, just make sure to bring Sigil.

Your gear would be a factor in how early you could manage the camp solo; I don't know your reasoning for not having AF hat yet, maybe you are using Shaman's Cloak or something?

This isn't really related to the topic, but I never bought a Black/Demon's Cloak, for some reason. I don't really know why... I honestly should have, but I just swapped Shaman's/Vermy until the point I could use Igqira/Yigit. Chalk it up to laziness and cheapness.

I started soloing Tigers at 67 and landing Sleep was definitely a problem, even with capped enfeebling skill and an Enfeebling Torque (no merits) until level 69. At 67 you can also start doing Thunder 3 -> Aeroga 3 which should kill the Tiger if it doesn't resist.

The popular thing nowadays is to sync a manaburn to 62 and level off Tigers that way. I know several people that went from 62-75 doing that.

Yeah, sleeps are annoying to land. For me, 65 is a pivotal level for this camp because it means torque (+7) and the final tier of skill merits (+2) along with the skill boost that comes naturally from leveling to 65 (+something). Even with all that, sleep accuracy is still not quite what I'd consider ideal, and that's with the full +16 from merits backing me up. One can imagine what it might be like before that, especially without merits.

Fortunately, by that level, you should be able to take the things out with two nukes if you do not get resisted (Blizzard 3 followed by Stonega 3 does just enough damage to take them out, although the exact nukes needed will obviously be different for everyone depending on just how well geared they are) meaning you will not even need to sleep it in most cases. The only other thing that could possibly go wrong is the tiger getting two double attacks in a row (ANNOYING) and hitting you through your 3 shadows before your second nuke fires.

Yeah, this is what I do, only I tend to be more of a 1 man army as far as the manaburning goes and only use support in the form of Flash and Cures. If you sync down to 62-63 or so, definitely bring some assistance. Even with merits, my performance downright sucks at those levels >_>

Only once briefly at lower levels (in Aydeewa)

And based on that experience, I'll go for pets any day >_>

My duo partner and I killed some Qiqirns recently. But only because all the pet camps were taken that night.

i actually killed Qiqirns all the way till i could do puddings, the xp for me wasn't bad maybe b/c i'm taru, i usually found a camp with 3-4 mobs so by the time i killed the last the first was back up. they are easy to kill b/c u can just stand there and nuke them to death without chasing pets or waiting for pet masters to turn there backs to pull them. but whatever u enjoy to solo is up to u i prefer'd the quqirn if they didn't give so low xp at 75 i'd probaly still solo them safely b/c i don't really die on them except on a bad pull

Pets is much better xp. Thunder III -> Aeroga III two shots tigers, the problem is finding the camps free.

Campaign caps at 5.4k/hr. But thats if you get constant battles. Usually you will go lower than that just because you have to tele out / run to npc, etc. Also, you are relegated to whm job if you want to get that kind of xp, as any time that you are resting you are not getting anything. BLM nukes just use too much mp.

FoV, meh. For blm its even slower than campaign. You will need to sleep mobs to have enough mp to kill them. Even many EP ones. Its just not worth it for blm.
