Hey, was looking up some ZNM and wondering if its possible to actually solo Dextrose on blm, or duo it, with a rdm most likely.

Well, actually was looking for any ZNM tier II with Cerise Seal.

Anyone got info on that?

Thanks

I forgot seals had colors. Durrrrrr.

Tier 2 ? I dunno, they seem kinda rough. I wonder if the arm from the bomb has the same effect as the NIN mythic, that would be unfortunate.

I'd look into Anantaboga. Zone very close to pop location, only 3 dahaks (30 min respawn)and a ghost in the area that can aggro you... and doesn't do dangerous dragon moves unless you silence him, so avoid doing that and you are golden. Dextrose has too much aggro around it, including an earth elemental that pops in the room.

It's worth pointing out that a marid is not quite as slow as Genbu is. He also will not stop to cast. So they're not quite on the same tier.

Can solo anantaboga with bio if you don't mind taking like 90 mins to do it. Pull him to the far west area with penguins and princes.

actually, with the help of sanction refresh, you could do it at lvl 1! however, you'd likely starve to death before you even got a quarter of the way done, since you'd be relying on a 1/tic dia.

I don't think that the Sanction would last long enough even with Captain rank. =/

Anantaboga would be your best bet from the Sarameya tier2s. Just toss on Bio and nuke if you need. Avoid Silencing it as that will unlock the Dragon TP moves, otherwise he spams bard spells that take ages to cast.

Well then, looks like I'm gonna try out Anantaboga solo tomorrow, see how it works out.

Don't nuke unless you bind him first.

Basically, if you're in cast range, he'll almost always attempt to use virelai or horde lullaby. Song, as opposed to spells, can only hit you at 25 range instead of 31, so they're easy to outrun. If you're not in casting range, he'll buff himself.

Dunno how long Bio solo will take since I do all my ZNMs on COR. Takes about 40 minutes with quick draws, so I'd imagine about 2 hrs with bio and poison. Pull takes about 7-8 minutes. You'll have to cast a fresh bio and zone at some point to reset rage timer.

As SCH with nukes, helix, and bio the dragon took me 23 minutes. I did not bother pulling him very far, mainly stayed around the roaches near his pop avoiding the spot where the other Dahak is. As far as charm goes, its extremely easy to avoid, but if you do get charmed it lasts 20 seconds and he will not aggro. If you keep DoT on, Charm can actually be a good thing rather than something that will slow you down. He is very easy to gravity and bind if you can pace yourself.

I wanted to update:

I just finished soloing Anantaboga. Took me 3 tries to get it right.. well 2 >.>

First try:
I went blm/nin, bad choice, got lullabied twice and well, couldnt heal myself up reliably enough with Drain so I died on a third lullaby.. Tho I guess if I didnt get hit it would be doable, tho the HP aggro mob that pops somewhat near where I was kiting could have been a problem.

Second try:
huuuuugh.. I pulled a nubbin... pop the NM but forgot to depop the first wamoura in the narrow passage to camp and it aggroed me and.. yeah 20 sec later 5 wamoura were having a nice taru snack...

Third try:
Went as /rdm, pull was kinda annoying cause it slept me off the bat and double attack me so I was left with 300hp. I'd suggest not poping at night time to avoid Low HP aggro.

Using mainly Dio II and Poison II, drain and some tier I took me ~ 90 minutes.
Everything was smouth till I hit the 15% HP mark, then it became impossible to stick poison II unless I was using ES, and all nukes where doing like 25% dmg. Last 15%HP took me about 35 min by itself.

For the fight, as long as you stay in the 25~35" range, it will only cast buffs, so you got time to run back a little and nuke. As long as you're 18" away you will have time to run out of range of lullaby. I was staying in the 25~30" distance, so I could see it cast buffs.

I let it charm me twice to drop all hate. Charm only left like 20 sec. I was planning to zone it but just when I was gonna do it I noticed a group of blms there at the zone, so it screwed my plan somewhat.

All in all, pretty easy fight, just takes some time.

p.s. I had 2 tick/refresh was just enough for me for debuffs and light nuking. Only used 1 yag drink and I could have made without it easily.

Edit: Now on to Achamoth. Any chance I can solo that as well? ^^

One nice thing about znms is that they don't seem to ever deaggro from getting too far away. You can just pop him and run off to camp, taking your time avoiding the wamouras. Bring oils/powders if necessary. It's odd that he started resisting even after you got charmed to lose hate. As far as I know, rage mode should reset upon deaggro. I usually solo it on cor/rdm though, which only takes about 40 mins. Maybe he just gains resistance at low %.

As for achamoth... no way, sorry. If you're not in a ZNM shell and just trying to get a r/ex drop, you could probably find a shell to kill it in exchange for the trigger. Better off joining one and doing a full sarameya, though.

Pretty sure charm hate reset works by different rules than other hate resets, since you can pretty much get all the hate you lost back as soon as it wears off and you take an action on the mob. Could that be related?

Or maybe ZNMs/Anantaboga are/is just weird.

Pretty sure for ZNM's you have to see them 're-set' at their pop location and rest a tic before rage wears.

I can attest to this on a vampire I have done, where things just went south after going so well, so we all zoned and kept him there. Someone managed to slip up and missed a Bio on the guy, so he ended up regening his health to full. After this we fought, and about 10? min in it became impossible to damage him and his hits were just for too much, so we had to let him reset @ his spawn and go again, seemed to do the trick.

This is just my experience though.
