Ok so I took a break back in april shortly after the update then becuase I grew seriously tired of FFXI. Anyways when I came back my memory seems to playing tricks on me becuase I could of sworn that the newest stratagems re-used the AOE stratagems' animation when I use to play. Now they seem to have their own unique animations.
Am I just remembering things wrong?

Rocking Phantasy star online 2. And loving it! Hopefully sega get's it right this time. They are having a much better start this go around then Universe but still a ways off calling it a hot contender in today's MMO market.
You just remember them wrong, as they've always had unique animations.

Actually, no. They had the same animations as AoE versions until the May or maybe June update.

I am glad I am not going crazy. It was a pleasent surprise when I came back but when I went to double check with people no one remember and I began to think I was going insane.

Really? I could have swore they've had distinct animations in the .dat files for a good while now, well before those updates.

They might have just been unimplemented animations that were still in the .dat files then, cause I remember seeing the animations for those in altana viewer well before that announcement. As for in-game though, I stand corrected.
