Nothing major but...Follow

Hello my fellow scholars! Earthsage here, and while I rarely post anymore I do still read up here often when the time allows me too. Same as in the game. I dont consider myself going as hard as I use to do, I do miss the late nights and endless snacks and vault grinding through jungles and deserts!

Regardless, I decided to head for Animazment 2011(in nc) here last month. And while considering my options I came across the idea of cosplaying as something very near and dear to me. Scholar of FFXI. I've been a grimoire lover since the day the job was announced, and through the highs and lows...and highs...and now with the advent of triggers...a new low for sch I stayed faithful. Dropping Red mage for it, as I found sch to be everything I needed in a job.

I've worked hard to get the items and my skills up(sch,cor,smn) being my major 3 jobs. ( i LOVE support lol) I quested and solo'd for what I think is a one of a kind piece for scholar. Savant's Body!

So It was no question that I would in fact be probably one of the first to actually own the piece...in real life. LOL. So me and my partner took up the task of creating it and here it is:

Funny, people's reactions..."WOW its awesome...where are you from?". It took almost a month to complete. Just the jacket itself. Instead of the actual ingame savant head piece, I decided on a mortarboard, I think savant's head looks like some kind of flat chef's hat...ewh! And you cant see it at all but I do have gold details on the side of the pants toward the bottom.

I saw like one other cosplay of ffxi. It was a whitemage, didnt get a pic with them though as I dressed for sch last day.

LOL. Regardless I worked really hard. And I wanted to share my work with my fellow scholars! I love this job, and will continue to support it!


btw, its made of vinyl...which...is a BITCH to sew.
