Sorry to bother, but can anyone please tell me if this fight can be soloed : http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/quests.html?fquest=1035 ... i asked for help on this (server post, shouts in White Gate...) but as usual, no one helps, so... i wanted to know if anyone actually soloed this fight, if yes, i would really appreciate any tips you can provide me ^^

Question about AF BCNM fightFollow
BST95/WHM93/BLM90/RDM87/SCH76/DRG48/SMN39/NIN37/BRD37

Dont know if it can be soloed by your jobs (maybe BST or RDM?) but the fight is pretty easy.
A good equip BLU will be able to solo it i think with the help of some meds (refresh and potions to spare mp).
My disseverment where doing 1k dmg easy (and I dont even have merits) and head butt stun proc was good enough.
One good trick is to bind and run when he does his 2h. I did it and worked very well.

I soloed this on SMN/SCH without problems. Easy to kite around. Not sure if BST with Jugs could do the same. I used Eclipse Bite /Predator Claw inbetween. I really enjoyed the Storyline aswell as the fight itself.
Only G5 left for me, for when I feel like it. Atm Throne Room warp can be handy.

It's hard to consistantly stun on RDM so sometimes you'll just have to take his -aga III in the face. (Manifestation makes his elemental spells AoE. I wish it worked like that for real)
I found that dispelling his storm effect tended to make him follow up by casting another so that may work to keep him busy for a while.
Got him to 61% on PLD/RDM without too much trouble before he decided to 2hr and wipe the floor with me. Might have done better if I'd been using meds however.

I soloed the fight as a Summoner. It's not a difficult fight, but you do need to put out some decent damage or risk running out of time. If you're interested in how I fought, it's below.
Pre-buffed with Earthen Ward and Protect/Shell from Light Spirit. I started with Fenrir, applying a Crescent Fang for the paralysis early on and several Eclipse Bites during the battle. Carby was only used when I needed some recovery time, since he's effectively a freebie. I was SMN/SCH for Sublimation access and for the cost reduction on spells. No medicines were required, but I had a few ethers and hi-potions on me in case they were needed.
He's not too difficult to defeat, but his 'chainspell strategems' later on can really wipe out avatars quickly. I found I needed Carby to give myself some breathing space after Fenrir was killed abrubtly to nukes.
