I used to have a screenshot on my FFXIAH page of me gravgaing like 20 nightmare dhamel's from dyna-bubu. mani-aspir is the single greatest spell in the game. I abuse the hell out of it in dyna.

Anyway, accomplishment: solo'd gration on sch/nin. What a cake ass fight.

5/8HQ staves.

Midding: Light Water Fire... Any input as to which I should get next? At this point, I'm leaning towards Hqing some of my other armor (namely: Mahatma Slops/Pigaches, Dvt. Mitts +1, and Prism Cape) then finishing my HQ set.

Soloed BCNM60 Up in Arms and soloed Iriz Ima, was a lot of fun. Did Apollyon NW solo, got to final floor before timing out; only got 10 coins (heard of runs with 40-50 ish?). Not too disappointed though since it was my first time.

I think 40-50ish count is if you farm all of the decent coin dropping mobs and get most/all of the item chests. You won't be able to do that solo. I think a good solo run at NW is probably more in the 20 coin neighborhood.

On a solo run you're skipping everything til the 4th floor; depending on time remaining you can kill the 5 wyverns for 10 coins total, and the 3 behemoths on 5F drop 5-6, as does KB. You're looking at 30~35 coins, but don't expect to hit that every run without a lot of experience and some luck with the portals.

An experienced duo can do all that and kill all the bosses besides the turtle on the way up for 20~25 coins each; if you're still new to it, this is a great way to practice while still bringing in a decent amount of ABCs. More AF+1 is always nice, too.

Thanks for the tips, I'm pretty new to the "mage" solos, since I mainly solo things on SMN or COR. It's a lot of fun though on SCH!

Kite it over land. Their regen affect is much more potent when they are over the water than when they are over land.

Where is there enough space to kite over land? I eventually managed one over water but took a good 45m, anything to cut that down would be nice.

If you go the area where you can enter Temenos, there's a couple of decent sized chunks of land. I don't know if they're big enough for solo kiting, but my friends and I manaburned Yovras there.

Here's a link where Kaeko discusses his solo experiences with Yovras. He mentions one fight taking 12 minutes. Maybe you'll find some tips there that will help shorten your fights.

I constantly solo Om'yovras now, using the information from Kaeko as the basis of my solo. My record so far is 14 minutes on Iceday, with a cream puff. Darksday, takes me about 17-18 minutes, other days, 22. (Not including the time to pull to the camp.)

I'll make a detailed post about how to later on. You need a strong Helix set, and some movement gear may be required (I use ASA pants with 8% augment)

Best part is, it's not really reliant on sleep/bind/gravity. They just speed up the process. Getting your helix as high as you can is the main issue, I'd suggest 150+ damage minimum.

SCH 80, in an epic Abyssea run that netted me 158k exp!

First thing I did was converting on a RDM friend's face :P

Savant's Pants +1! After countless and countless terrain inspections, and dozens of other seals, I got the awesome AF3 +1 pants ^^

Right now I'm debating on whether I should use this when nuking and using parsimony. Sure, I'd lose some damage, but the extra 5% MP reduction could add up... Nah, I'll stick with Teal ;)

Went with a 5-6 person group to kill Ironclad executioner.. after seeing its behavior and movement i am confident i can solo it SCH/NIN. Helices were tearing his ass up, surprisingly landing for 200+ everytime. I'll probably attempt the solo within the next day or so.. and ill post my win :)

Also, Atma of Ambition! its sexy as hell for sch use in abyss.. especially if you're more of a lowman type player.

Soloed Bloodguzzler (Graiai Earring) leech in Abyssea-Konschtat. Trivial solo really kiting around the rock by the camp.

Could potentially solo (have duoed) the Orobon NM in Abyssea-Misareaux; Gravity and Bind land easily on it. Spam nukes. Win.

^ I've solo'd the orobon on RDM/SCH in 11 mins with Chainspell and duo'd it in 9 minutes as sch + another rdm. It really is a joke NM with great drops.
