Scholar is far better than I ever thought.

I was ridiculously excited about this job before WotG and then equally disappointed when I first unlocked it. I took it to 20 and quit because it was just a weak whm/blm with nothing special to it.

I picked it back up last week for a break from BST and boy, they sure did a great job fixing it. I'm only at 37 now but with all the new stuff I already feel like I can do anything. I just went from regen, to cure, to dispel, to a fat nuke all on one fight and still had tons of mp left.

It's quite amazing how much 2 strategem charges changes things. I can't wait for 4 =D

Been there. Glad I stuck through and reached 52.

I get asked by aspiring SCH's all the time..

"Whats SCH good for?"
"Is SCH awesome?"

And the million gil question: "When does scholar get fun?".

I tell them all the same answer: SCH is a late bloomer job, just like RDM. You have to HANG in there and make it to 35. After 40, you shouldn't be disappointed in scholar anymore.

For me at least, sch really took off 40+. Accession is a make it or break it kinda /ja. If you don't fall in love with accession then sch may not be for you, its just that fun! Also, after that, AF is just around the corner. Its seems like there is always something to look forward to after 40, be it gear, spells, more charges etc... Have fun with it, its a great job!
