I have been playing around with my linkshell and random manaburn PTs. SCH's DMG with Tier IV nukes seems better than BLMs, even more so when I go SCH/BLM. Kind of makes my BLM feel a little gimped since I have to use AMII to beat my SCH. Endgame wise my nukes still do pretty well with more successful then resisted nukes at least on Ix'Aerns, some jailers and ZNM.
I can't wait to play around with Novio earring and maybe Yigit body.

Nuking harder than BLM. o.OFollow
Under the same conditions, SCH is still more MP efficient but BLM will nuke harder. So either your SCH is very good or the BLMs you partied with still lack a lot.
If you keep your hailstorms/Thunderstorms to yourself, you might be able to do more. But that's just unfair D: !!!! /sulk
There have been quite a few threads on this and yeah, we're pretty damn close. Only thing you lack is elemental magic skill to make your nukes as reliable as a blm's (I'm sorry but nuking ix' or low tier jailers doesn't prove much.. try some harder sh*t ^^)
Still, SCH is barely under the "acceptable" limit to become a main DD, and we don't even know what an excellent SCH looks like yet (lack of jse/relic, which might be good if SE doesn't suck at making up stats, you never know).

I'm still waiting on the harder things. Waiting til ls does JOL or something different but I am still doing pretty decent. ^^ I'm just testing to see how SCH can do with other things as events come along in my shell. ^^;;
PT wise, BLMs would always beat me with AMII spells and -ga spells. Even using same gear my SCH uses on my BLM doesn't seem to match my SCH DMG with basic tier nukes but I already know my SCH will suck against major NMs and such. At least until SE gives some decent things to merit.

Damage-wise, the order for tier IV nukes is:
1. PUP
2. BLM
3. SCH
Each has their own advantages though. BLM isn't limited to just tier IV, SCH is much more MP efficient, and PUP can shed hate (although risky).

Actually I'd say PUP is more MP efficient, because of 4tick refresh and convert as well as deactivate+Activate cause full mp recovery (although a little risky).

well, any PT i've taken ~71 /w a BLM i've put that poor BLM to shame. but thats because i've been BLM75 for many years now and have ALL the good stuff and maxed merits.
