Every time im in campaign and i see a group of npc's that are less than full health, they get an accession, rapture, divine seal combo. Of course this spells instant death for me but oh well, thats what RR is for and w/ no exp loss why not. The point is, even though i know i will die i do it anyway, does anyone else do this or is it just me? I guess it just makes me fell good seeing "Capricornian Caster recovers 1224 hp"x12, and it doesn't hurt the exp either. I guess the overall point of my post is to ask how others play their Sch in campaign, im only 64 atm so my ******* is limited but im still loving it, can't wait till 75!

Just keep in mind you take a - exp hit for deaths also.
And a cap is placed on xp from cures.

I would just tone it down some. :p

-30 exp per death is lol. If you hit the cap for curing you could spend the whole battle getting KO'd and still come up aces. Or all you have to do is raise someone when you get up and you just about break even. To each there own i guess but, at least for me, its worth it to at least do it once to try to hit the cap.

I do this, but I also go one step further and Gravi-ga all the mobs that will probably be ****** off before I dump the big Cure IV-ga. Also, I make sure to have sandstorm on me and my desert boots equiped. This way, I get the benefit of doing the huge Cure IV-ga, and staying alive

The negative exp penalty for dying is almost irrelevant. You get points for taking damage, 1 point for every 10 damage you take. As long as you had at least 300 hp before you pull hate and die you will break even. If you are at full hp you will actually come out ahead. Only way it becomes an issue is if you reraise then get killed again immediately.

I don't play SCH in Campaign. I used to, then I stopped when I had a revelation:

People in Campaign do not help you. In fact, they do more to harm than anything else.

Most of SCH's abilities get the greatest amount of utility the greater your party size is. And people in Campaign are very reluctant to party with you for some reason. If I'm lucky (and if a very brave tank is lucky), I'll see a PLD engage an NM and I'll invite them. Good for them. They get Stoneskin, Phalanx, Enspells, and healing love.

Here is the more usual trend. NM attacks the fortification. People stare at the NM. On my RDM or SCH, I gravity the NM, hoping people will be more inclined to attack it when its name is purple. Reality: I run around for 10 minutes or so, hopefully the NM wastes time casting long spells or using Mortal Ray which is useless if I'm facing away. More often, they come equipped with Feather Barrage or whatever it's called.

Or if you decide to go offensive and AoE Sleep and Gravity stuff, you will get the usual shmucks who will attack your mob and wake it up, but will make no attempt to get hate off it. What? You're not a job that can solo tank these mobs well? Well way to go, let the SCH tank it! I mean, he's got an Earth Staff, amirite?!

Uh, don't SCH spells hit people out of party in Campaign anyway?

Now that I've reached a level where my nukes are actually worth the MP I spend on them, Campaign has become a veritable hotspot for quick experience points.

Somewhere around level 62 I noticed that my nukes would go more and more unresisted (64 currently).

If I'm in an area where there are NPCs, Suicide Cure IV-ga mode (I've eaten so many 1000+ damage moves it's funny).

If I'm not in an area where there are NPCs, I let whatever tank that's pulling mobs off the Forts take hate and then just nuke down to 0 MP, rest, rinse, repeat.

Although, personally I don't stray from Campaign areas that my home nation controls so I can get the benefit from the Aegis Scream I Campaign Ops (110 more exp and 552 notes for defending an owned campaign area) at the same time.

I regularly get 1000+ experience points per campaign now that I'm fully versatile between Cure mode and Nuke mode.

Only under 2 conditions:

1. You have to have at least one person in a PT with you.

Or

2. There is at least 1 NPC around.

Accession will not extend beyond the SCH in campaign otherwise.

Also with #2, you have to cast a buff on the NPC for accession to work. Not on yourself.

Thanks for the clarification. I knew SCHs had hit me with stuff before and I found out yesterday that I could do it on NPCs (just hit 40). Good to know I just need one party member.

Unfortunately SE didn't grant us with such an overpowered ability.
