New Scholar looking forward to the jobFollow

I've been around for a while. PLD75/NIN73/DRK65, but I've been feeling a need to add a mage job to my arsenal before I jump back into endgame in any serious capacity.

I started levelling Scholar basically as a kind of rebellion, to be different. I had enough of BLM and WHM to know I didn't really like them, RDM looked like the way to go, but there are so many cookie-cutter RDMs out there, BRD was right out, SMN would be something I might do for dun someday, but for right now I wasn't really interested in levelling it seriously... I always figured I'd HAVE to level RDM to 75. But since SCH and RDM would use similar gear through the dunes, I thought I might as well try ONE of the newer jobs (Never even tried the ToAU expansion jobs. They never interested me)

Now I see this update, and suddenly SCH seems a LOT more viable, and attractive to me. Therefore, I've decided RDM will stop at 37, and SCH will go all the way to 75. The apparent flexibility and versitility of SCH just appeals to me. Plus the fact that this is a job not EVERYONE and their brother is going to be playing makes it more interesting to me.

I'm only SCH 14 so far, but I'm looking forward to what this job can do once I've got some of the higher levels and better abilities.
