I know how to use it..and everything but looking at the wiki it says sch's can stack this effect on a single helix that's on a mob.

So does this mean that if I'm ever teamed up with another SCH they can cast a helix then use their JA..double that, and I use my JA of it and double..what's already there? Just want a more..clear view of what they mean by it.

From the way it sounds which is too odd..that if the spell does say 100, that sch uses the JA to make it 200, and I could use mine to make it 400?

Thats a really good question. But i dont really see how it would prove effective. If a 2nd sch doubled it again...that means the time period of the helix would be cut in half AGAIN. And one could say you're better off just nuking it at that point.

But its an interesting question.

Perhaps but the whole point of Modus Veritas is to allow your Helix spells DOT to deal damage faster then normal DOT spells.
However it saids on FFXIclopedia that "Multiple Scholars can stack this effect. It works regardless of who cast the helix"

This makes the helix DOT much more useful in a party because it can damage much faster then ordenary DOT spells.

I can't seem to find many sch's to help me figure it out. Well I tried today but..no it was just one of those days..those rare days when you spend all day on just to find out you've lost too much xp and everything that needs to go wrong goes wrong. tomorrow's..a whole new day so I hope to gather some sch's and see about it then..just didn't know if anyone has tried it with a fellow sch or two.

As for effectiveness? Meh I got my theories much like my other play-styles in other jobs and this one I sorta just keep it to myself and do it anyways...hehe saves the entire "That..doesn't work so well man." then me going "Well..kinda just did it."

Yes'm..and it's that part that interests me..I'll try tomorrow..but I'm aware wiki can be changed if needed so can't rely on the info 100%, though when it comes to major things you can't fail. But that's why I asked.

Wiki is a wonderful source of player-created information.

It's also usually wrong.

That's taken from Kohana's Ballista testing, I believe, so that's probably how it works in Ballista. No idea if it's the same in the rest of Vana'diel.
