Wanted to hear from 75 scholars out there. How does scholar hold up against Gods and HNM? Are helix spells landing for anything substantial? Are you reduced to healing only because of our B rank in elemental magic skill? Also, what are the best dressed scholars wearing out there? Yigit seems to be the best but I hear helix spells are based on INT only so that would give errant gear the nod.

For a credible source on endgame SCH check this out.

It seems to me, as with the person from the link above, SCH really shines in non-HNM endgame activities such as Einherjar, Dynamis, Assault, Salvage etc.

I have only seen 1 75 Sch take a crack at gods, I am sorry but I didnt pacer the result. These are the results from me eyeballing them. The helix spells on Timmy and Faf were resisted pretty bad. The few nukes that my friend tried actually landed -decent-. I think once some more gear comes our way we will be able to do better.

The sh*tty damage from helix on HMNs isn't from resists. It's from the piece of ass damage formula which has Int check (between you and the mob) as a major component of the damage.

yeah the helix formula is annoying because it doesn't allow for them to do good damage on HNM type mobs. Otherwise I love using it in dynamis, limbus, and einjerjar. Its very good for assault as well because its a well-rounded job as far as magic goes. Salvage I have pup for though and i'm always wanted there as that job.

I got SCH to 75 about 2 weeks ago, but I'm not that active end game.
Since then I've killed some sky NMs and a few other NMs like serket and junk.
My helix do an average of 100 a tic unresisted on mostly everything I've killed.

As much as it pains me to say it... I main healed from 65-75. But I love this job, glad I lvled it.

wow, in regards to SCH solo, just wow. its like i wrote that i swear to God. I have personally been following the exact tacts as this guy but really havent said much as i wanted to see how things turn out 65-75 with SCH solo.

For the record, this guy is right, i've soloed 90% of SCH so far and im in no rush, its exactly like BLM solo but easier...

speaking of gear i really have no idea as to why sch has such a ass crappy gear list
like seriously why cant sch be able to wear nashira or zenith or most other mage sets

yeah sch can wear goliard bu meh doesnt really help the job out much imo
my friend said pup has just as a crappy equip list which is also sad

I can tell you 75SCH is kinda weak to gods, cause there is really no gear for us to help with what we do. Our Helix spells are weak, weather SE knows this o not only time will tell. They land for low damage, really not helping to much.

Hopefuly in this next update, there will be our gear, or at least better gear to choose from, cause, i used every bit of BLM gear I had all the way to 75. Sad really. Nothing SCH specific, makes me cry.
