Any soloable bcnms?Follow
Just wondering if there are any bcnms I could solo as a rdm as im kinda tight on gil and farming makes me want to poke my eyes out with a spork and also I have almost 4 stacks of seals in my mog locker that id like to put to use. I know id be better off doing some runs with other ppl but I dont have an ls atm and I wont do bc runs with random ppl as no good will ever come of it.

It is possible to solo KSNM 30 Operation Desert Swarm. I would not call it safe, or easy, as the only confirmation I have that it can be solo'd is an Avesta video.

I would suggest getting a ls as your first priority. There are some nice 3 person bcnms that aren't terribly hard to setup as a ls run.
Supposedly Bionic Bug ENM is soloable. Again, you have to have the right gear and merits, and you basically have to pray he uses Counterstance early on(this TP move makes him take 2x dmg). I've personally gotten him to 40% solo with OK gear and without his using Counterstance (i think i would probably have won if he used it).

This may be just me, but it doesn't really seem like bugbears take noticeably more damage when they are in Counterstance (and by not noticeably, I mean I can't really see any difference... at all). I don't think it gimps their defense like it does for us.

I know one of his moves (Might be counterstance, my memory sucks) causes him to take double damage from everything (like goldfish in Sea). I don't think it lowers his defence the way it does for us, it just doubles the damage he takes including spells and Spirits Within.
I know you are looking for a solo, but if you can find a BLM buddy to duo with it opens up alot more possibilites, there are a ton of ENMs & BCs you can duo.

The Mimic BCNM can be soloed too. 1 in 3 chance of opening the chest with the treasure in it as opposed to getting one with a Mimic.
If you pop a Mimic you're pretty much done at that point but this is a soloable BCNM if you want a chance at getting a reward w/o actually fighting.

It's called Treasure and Tribulations, but in my opinion that BCNM is nothing but a huge waste of seals. Not only do you have just a 1 in 3 chance of picking the right chest, but even if you do get it right there's no guarantee that you're going to get a money item. Sure you could get lucky and come out with millions of gil, but it's much more likely that you'll blow all your seals and come out with nothing.

If you happen to have a good run of luck on a certain one then that is great. How many times have people done BCNM fights and come away with items that are worth more to the NPC store than they are on the AH? I would say a lot more times than they come away with millions.
OP was simply asking about soloable BCNMs of which T&T is one of. If you want a BCNM that is a guarantee win then you won't find any in this game.
Depending on your level it might be better to find 2 friends and do Assaults or even ISNMs. Assaults at least give you a guarantee that you will be rewarded for hard work and IS points are a lot easier to get for the ISNMs than Seals are for the others. Just my opinion though.

You are guaranteed (I hope) of a better win rate than 33% though... which in turn increases the chances of a worthwhile money drop.

There are a lot of BCs like royal jelly where you should win nearly every time......

I know that, that's my point. The win rate on Royal Jelly should be better than that of the 33% you'd get with Treasure and Tribulations. (You just can't solo the former.)
as far as i know "pick a box" is the only soloable bcmn for a rdm.
up in arms, the kclub bcmn, is reliably duoable with another rdm. possibly duoable w a blm as well, but i havent tried. i have however won over 50 times duoing w various other rdms (no kclub yet tho, gahhhh) the only loss being when one of us d/ced for over 5 mins. even if you dont get a kclub, you'll generally make at least 50k, 5-7.5k from the chest and generally 3 peices of coral, which npc for 15k. so at the very least you wont come out of your run having lost gil on pies. the added bonus is that 60 cap is dooable in af and staves, you dont need to actually buy capped gear for this.

Up In Arms is likely soloable with Chainspell Drain and some meds. More meds than one would probably care to burn on that BC with its sh*tty drop rate, but it really seems doable nonetheless.
Has anyone mentioned The Crimson King yet? I hear that ones soloable.

Just for clarification, the battlefield is called The Scarlet King.
I tried duoing that with another RDM twice, we timed out on one of them and barely won the second. It's like Up In Arms only significantly harder in many aspects >_>
Purson isn't quite as nukeable, he moves a lot faster, he hits a lot faster plus his hits hurt way more (his nearly constant Blood Weapon doesn't help matters), and I'm almost certain he's got more HP than Fe'e. Which is normal really; it is an uncapped KSNM fight and not a BCNM60. Still, it's far more of a challenge. I would recommend trying to solo Up In Arms first; if you cannot do that I wouldn't even bother trying to solo this one.
I have heard of it being soloed before though; I just cannot imagine it being easy (or worth the trouble and the meds you'd have to bring) at all. The only real saving grace you get is 15 additional minutes (compared to Up In Arms) to win.

Wild Wild Whiskers is solable... there is a video of Avesta on Youtube, although I believe you have to be merited to do it.
I actually tried this one myself, the problem you are going to run in to is the 15minute time limit, although I got it down to 40% in 9mins, before I got hit with a weird burst (he attacked me all the way through the casting time, so I thought it was inturrupted... then he killed me)

First time I ever did Treasure and Tribulation, I got a Sorcerer's Ring. Then two losses, then a Minstrel's Ring. I stopped ahead there.
