Does soloing Ironclad Executioner still count as an accomplishment or are we all expected to be able to do that at this point?

Finally got some help with climbing Nyzul to 75 where my solo WS point accumulation mattered enough for me to finish the rest off in a short time to finally acquire Death Blossom.

Still working towards CDC, though, and 2/6 of the scorpion VNM.

Also, I took on Maat again at 90 Red Mage just for some payback for all the trouble he caused me at 70...what the **** does that geezer put in his Wheaties? He hits just as hard and resists just as hard as he did back then despite the 20 level difference. Without a doubt Slow II and Shell V made a difference in how much punishment he gave me, but nada otherwise...what the ****?! I thought I was going to be able to go in there and toy with him. Sure caught me off guard, but I managed to beat him anyway. Would have been embarrassing otherwise.

I might have to do this again. Melee @ 70 was alittle dicey but doable, but @75 it was a joke. Did you eat food and was it a Taco?

So when I eventually come back, I won't have to feel completely noobish about picking back up with that particular ambition? Nyzul and Death Blossom are not out of style?

I just recently got set up with a Nyzul static and my vorpal sword dropped on our floor 20 boss run. I'm waiting to get up in floors a bit higher before trying to break it, but I would say no, Death Blossom isn't completely outdated. I would say (probably because I don't have the /war, /blu, or /pld leveled yet) that I prefer main handing a dagger because there are way more ws options.

Without Razed Ruins or CDC, Death Blossom is worth having around. Inside Abyssea and if you have no plans for CDC, you should look into Razed Ruins + Evis.

Finally took the time to finish Sayon+1. Two rounds of tiger pops with a pickup group left me with 8/10 seals and I didn't want to spend money on another pop so I ended up doing that stupid Altepa quest for my last two. Got lucky(ish) and it only took about 15 runs to get both seals.

I don't remember what I ate. I do remember him smacking me for ~80+ish. I also forgot my Genbu's Shield, and wasn't about to run the distance back just to get it.

Executioner was more fun when you could hang him on the cliff by Ayravata. He's also more fun when he actually gives up the goods instead of PLD/DNC/BLU-ing you for the 20th time.

Figured out how to have spellcast have a slow2 mnd build and slow2 macc build! Been meaning to do that since before Abyssea, but then I never came RDM to Abyssea and interest waned.

Quote:
<if spell="Freeze">
	<action type = "ChangeSpell" Spell = "Paralyze"/>
	<action type="equip" when="midcast" set="lightfeebling">
		Reign Grip
	</action>
</if>
<if spell="Quake">
	<action type = "ChangeSpell" Spell = "Slow"/>
	<action type="equip" when="midcast" set="lightfeebling">
		<main>Terra's Staff</main>
		Reign Grip
	</action>
</if>
<if spell="Freeze II">
	<action type = "ChangeSpell" Spell = "Paralyze II"/>
	<action type="equip" when="midcast" set="lightfeebling">
		Reign Grip
	</action>
</if>
<if spell="Quake II">
	<action type = "ChangeSpell" Spell = "Slow II"/>
	<action type="equip" when="midcast" set="lightfeebling">
		<main>Terra's Staff</main>
		Reign Grip
	</action>
</if>

Lightfeebling is my light based enfeebling MAcc set, and regular Slow/II/Para/II spells default to potency gear). Precast/Aftercast taken care of in other rules :o.

<if spell="Freeze">
<changespell spell="Paralyze II" />
<equip when="midcast" set="lightfeebling" />
</if>

..will do the same thing. Why are you setting Idle gear to midcast and delaying it so much?

You can also handle this sort of thing with less code by using variables.

<set name="WhiteMagicEnfeeblingMagic1> ~White Enfeebling Potency
<set name="WhiteMagicEnfeeblingMagic2> ~White Enfeebling Accuracy
<set name="BlackMagicEnfeeblingMagic1> ~Black Enfeebling Potency
<set name="BlackMagicEnfeeblingMagic2> ~Black Enfeebling Accuracy

<var name="WhiteMagicLevel">1</var> ~Stores current white enfeebling set; default is Potency.
<var name="BlackMagicLevel">2</var> ~Stores current black enfeebling set; default is Accuracy

<if skill="EnfeeblingMagic">
<equip when="midcast" set="%type%skill$%typeLevel" />
</if> ~Equips proper set based on whether spell is White or Black and the current setting of the appropriate "Level" Variable.

<if spell="Deep Breathing">
<if advanced='$WhiteMagicLevel=1'>
<command when="precast">spellcast var set WhiteMagicLevel 2</command>
<command when="precast">input /echo White Enfeebling set to Accuracy.</command>
<if>
<else>
<command when="precast">spellcast var set WhiteMagicLevel 1</command>
<command when="precast">input /echo White Enfeebling set to Potency.</command>
</else>
<cancelspell />
<return />
</if> ~Causes Deep Breathing JA to toggle between Accuracy and Potency settings for White Enfeebles. Adds /echo so you know it fired. Repeat with a different /JA for BlackMagicLevel. I also do this with Elemental magic.

I recommend using JAs for dummy commands, so you can divide your XML into sections for JA, WS, and magic. Being able to check magic by skill makes the code much cleaner; if you use magic for dummy spells, it can cause all sorts of problems if your code is sloppy.

I actually used to use a variable to control if I would be using potency or accuracy sets, but I always seemed to be wanting the one I wasn't set on. So for me, unless variable setting can be done in a way that is even more intuitive than my own on the fly text inputs, they'll eventually just end up as one more step between me and my spell/gear.

Thanks for the tip on changespell though, totally forgot about that command!

(p.s. final code put in previous posting)

You can create an alias for the toggle command in your init.txt like so:

alias wset Deep Breathing

All you have to do in game is type //wset and it'll toggle the set automatically. Much easier than using two macros for the same spell.

Also you no longer have to use <action>. <equip /> <changespell /> etc. all work. Also no need to have the staff equip in there if you use variables for staves, it'll automatically equip the right one based on the spell's element.

Using an alias/keybind to toggle the potency variable still sounds like one more step than just picking the spell I want to begin with. As for the <action> lines, I copied and pasted from an old xml lol. Terra's in for MAcc over MDMG Kubera's precast for fastcast.

Was just pointing out, posting an accomplishment while running games hacks is kinda not really an accomplishment. I don't care if you cheat, I did in Abyssea and Dynamis, don't want to do the lame **** anymore I get it. Still look like a tool though.

Wow, you're right. I had a clock on screen too. I shouldn't have even posted.

edit: and oh god, the entire basis of it was that i did it at level 75, but then i got that morrigan's robe there with the help of someone at level 99, so that pretty much makes everything i do null.

Not sure why your so defensive.

The only discernible things from your video

1) You killed an NM
2) You are using Clipper.

Im sorry I couldn't tell you didn't actually make use of Clipper what with the still shot of a loot pool. Does that make you feel better?

I said i didn't move once the entire fight, before you decided to call me a cheater, and say my accomplishment wasn't an accomplishment. Do you think I'm lying?

I get that you don't like me, but ****, you could at least call me out for something that actually makes a difference, like windower, instead of going on about cosmetic changes. Gm flag was about as advantageous as the font change for this fight.

If i wanted to cheat, and then pretend i hadn't, I'd have posted a screenshot after killing this, instead of something easy like rapido.
