Solo fought an Enkidu straight up melee
Slept a UFO which I didnt think was possible
Soloed every standard monster in Sea bar UFO
Duoed ZM4 (the 3 anticans)
Tanked Kam'lanaut to 40% as RDM/NIN before running out of MP and exiting battle

....all in the space of the last few weeks. Its finally all coming together ^^

solo or in party? I was in a party @71 a couple days ago that tried a soulflayer...after the raises we decided that was not a good idea for us :).

Capped sword and finished Savage Blade the other day.

Finally capped Elemental Magic today farming organs with ls. They were pretty tolerant of me just spamming Stone most of the time :)

I had the coins, then sold em off, then got the drop, it was so annoying, hopefully though I get my wlegs tonight, wish me luck :D.

Capped off XP on my RDM, 34k in about 1.5 Hours, not too bad.

Also friend said something about Ugly pendant while discussing convert gears. However, since im poor, I found a cheaper alternative and came up with this.

Do you think you could give me some insight on your sub-job/strategy/gear? I've gotten to the point where soloing this can actually happen...the only problem is I don't want to die and learn from my mistakes since this is a once a week sort of thing.

6/13/07: Soloed Zipacna. Took me a few tries, and even thinking about it I feel it was somewhat of a fluke, I was in a 'zone' and a lot of things really fell into place that allowed me to win.

After a few marathon exp sessions trioing with ls friends- *ding* 37DRK!- just in time for my ls's next Salvage run.

Sure, basically, you should probably go /NIN when you're first trying, for protection's sake, but I like /blm now that I've gotten good at it, because it speeds up the killing, and you get a warp out. Seeing as you're Taru, you'll be in luck because you can go /NIN w/o sacrificing too much MP. If you have WLegs, i'd just go /BLM because Ele Seal just helps so much.

Gear:
Basic EXP Enfeebling Set, swapped in.
Basic Solo Nuking, Eleskill+, INT+ gear, swapped in.
HQ Wind, Ice, and Thunder Staves are godly for this fight.

Meds:
RR Pin, earring, gorget.
INT+ Food (I use Melons+1)
MP Regen (ethers or Mulsem) help, but not neccicary.

Basilly, when you go in, there are 2 Tarus mobs, an Eldertuar and a Mindertuar. You can sleep the mindertuar, but not the eldertuar. They're both Mage mobs (ones a RDM, others a WHM, but that's not impoartant). So what you do is, go in, eat your food, buff up, use RR, rest to full.

Run in, and if you're /BLM hit elemental Seal. Then hit chainspell. Sleep 2 the Mindertuar, and Bind/Grav the eldertuar.

Make your way back to the entrance as the eldertuar follows you, nuke Thunder III, Blizzard III, Thunder III, etc... by the time you have it dead the other one should be waking up. If you brought MP Regen items, use them now.

Use any of your remaining MP to kill it, and try your best to get some DoTs on it. Now die (that's why you used RR, you don't loose EXP, so it's not a big deal). Reraise up, food, RR, buff, rest.

Now, here's where it's different. You can either grav and kite the other one, standard RDM, Bio/Poison and Nuke, (reccomended for /BLM), or if you have a really good melee setup, you could whack away at him (/NIN needed, and make sure you turn for death ray <- This is how Avesta did it).

I prefer the nuking, it really only takes 1 MP pool, and I can convert for that last 1-2 nukes if I get resists.

I normally finish with about 5-7 minutes left.

Ok, you probably won't believe me, but you can check my LS's website. After 2 straight 0 AF Beauc runs, last monday we recieved.

We had 2 RDM bodies, DRK body, and SAM body in same treasure pool, before we even cleared the first area o.o

I've seen 5 Pieces of RDM af drop ever, out of the year or so i've been doing dynamis. I guess its the shell I run with or something, but meh. I've been so sh*tty on sky/dynamis drops. I've been almost 6 months without a sky drop. And I recently just got my af+1 tabard, and only got my boots about 2 months ago from sandy. I guess its just bad luck, but it makes me not want to play anymore watching all these other rdm's get what they want, and for me to get screwed every time ><.

Thanks! I had the basic idea down and I decided to go in as /BLM a few days ago and got mowed in the middle of using convert and lost at 1% to the eldertaur. I didn't really consider using chainspell before elemental seal+sleep but I think I'll do that next time.

Not really anything to call home about, but this made me feel a little warm inside. Partying in lolmire fighting a jnun when an imp aggros. I silence and bind the imp. Then a jnun aggros someone's low hp so I grav it and kite it around. For some reason the party's taking forever with this imp, and the other imp unbinds. I grav it and am now kiting both the imp and jnun around the party. Party kills the imp, goes after the jnun for some reason, so I'm still left kiting the imp. Unsilences, goes for some agaIV spell and I run out of range. It ungravities and starts chasing me until I'm able to run back to the party and they kill it. Whew.

level 55 and af hands ;)

Genbu actually isn't that bad. It's just alot of endurance sitting there forever letting dots do the work and running around in circles.

5hrs? Nah, it has around 20k HP, so even tho it resists poison2 it can be done in 1 hr and a half.

I'd give it about the length of gration, specially without a heavy elemental build, I'd give yourself 2-3 hours, but you can lower it with nukes depending on how accurate you're able to get them.

I finally hit 75 after 3+ years of screwing around on many jobs.

Got Pahluwan Khazagand after like...2 1/2 weeks of Lamia No.13.

ding 59 and killed a DRG the same lvl as me in PvP pwned him.

1.sleep II
2.Debuffed with everything but DIA II
3.buffed up
4.let him get some free hits in on me i think 5 or 6 they hit 0
5.killed his little dragon with nukes
6.refresh
7.sleep II and debuffed again then nuked him to Death pwned

This was a huge weekend for me. First I got my Genbu Shield. Then on Saturday I found a couple awesome xp pts and went from 73-75.

Finally, a level 75 job =D
