went from using striking flourish rudra's storm and doing 500-4.5k in abyssea with the very hit or miss crit chance, to doing consistent 5500-6k

Both Rudra's would be better than our best Rudra's with Striking Flourish, and both would crit. For those of you doing math at home, you're looking at 7k WSs in Abyssea followed by 10k skillchains.

Bah, this makes me want to retire my DNC because obtaining a Twashtar is out of my reach.

In terms of WS damage, Twashtar and Daka +2 are going to be pretty comparable in Abyssea.
Also, since my last post I thought of a way to extend the chain of awesome:
5 FMs -> Building -> Climactic -> Presto -> Box Step -> NFR -> Rudra's -> Reverse -> Rudra's
With the right Atmas/Attack buffs, I bet you could do over 25k damage with this combination. Alas, if only people ever wanted to kill Abyssea NMs quickly. xD

Or /SAM and go 5FM's + 200TP > CF Sekka > NFR> STEP> Rudras > Rudras > RF > Rudras > TP WING > Rudras
(TP wing + last Rudras is merely for lulz.)

Unfortunately, Rudra's -> Rudra's can only make Darkness once. I try to explain it here. It's easiest to think of double darkness as a level 4 skillchain.

hmm i did not know that chalk it up to being a melee rdm for 8 years that can't self skillchain at all at level 3.

Sekka -> Climactic Flourish -> NFR -> Presto -> Step -> Evisceration -> Rudra's -> Reverse -> Rudra's

i might be doing something wrong. i don't have Rudra's so i'm just using evis. it's not really doing more damage for me than striking > DE. is it only useful for people with emp weapons?
It only makes the first hit crit. Try Climactic -> 300 TP Shark Bite or Climactic -> Pyrrhic Kleos

My abyssea PK hit around 2k atm, Climactic might be worth looking into for that. Still less than PK -> Evis + Dark, but might be fun on a lark.
