Phurba: Dagger lvl 89

DMG:44 Delay:190 Accuracy+10
"Waltz" potency +10%

DNC only.

Shocked that we got waltzpotency on the weapon but after so many updates without a new waltzpotency item, its pretty nice. Also has a higer base damage than Kila +2. Interesting...
Please please don't be hard to get...

All the Twilight stuff is going to be insanely hard to get, probably drops off of Abyssea equivalent of Dynamis Lord. But we will see.

I was kind of hoping those were reward items for beating WoTG but odds are it drops from that weird dragon thing prishe was staring down in the maw at sea.

Only issue I see is that you can't macro swap to that waltz potency. Need to full time it, which will make you lose that possible 20 eva or whatever the latest kila will have.

Both of these are underwhelming...waltz potency is nice, but have to lose another stat dagger. Quadruple hit 3% is worthless if there isn't any more quad% gear. Plus we don't know if it checks before DA or OAx.

And no -waltz timer gear makes me very sad...especially after seeing the -Utsu neck ;;

I don't think it's all that underwhelming. 10 accuracy and waltz potency on the dagger is pretty much dnc's bread and butter. Doing more damage with 2x str kila's is nice, but odds are when you're in a situation with other party members who rely on your cures, your damage will be less important than keeping the party alive. Perhaps in solo situations it would be better to keep on the 2x eva kila +2's but at the end of the day, a dnc is a front line healer. I'm sure thf's don't like having to have (or at least had to, perhaps not so much anymore with new TH availabe) TP in a thief's knife in situations when you want drops - atleast this one is a pretty viable weapon by comparison.

If +10 accuracy and +10 waltzpotency on a respectable damage weapon counts as "underwhelming" then I just don't know anymore. I just don't.

How does this compute exactly? These daggers might make up for being cheated on emp armor.

So yeah, the OP's dagger looks pretty sweet. You trade 9DEX (~2 base damage during Evisc) and some Acc that you probably don't need for 10% Waltz potency and 1 more base damage.

Ok "worthless" might not have been the word I was looking for exactly. But I'm not going to think this thing is awesomesauce yet until I see how the extra attacks check. And I did completely overlook the additional effects on it, which if they process nicely, it could be a good dagger in the end.

As for the cure dagger, yeah I'm still underwhelmed for that fact that I really don't main cure that much these days. If that's why you're in the party/alliance its pretty useful, but if not, I don't see myself giving up my other daggers for this. If these stats were on any other slot (or if that was -waltz timer instead of potency) I'd be going gaga over it like the rest of you seem too...call me hard to please if you will...

10% (Dagger), 5% (Roundel) 5% (AF2 hat), 10% (AF1 body), 4% (ridiculucky Dance Shoes), Sonia's Plectrum (1%) = 35% max potency at the moment. It's not bad.

btw, 90 DNC and Striking Flourish doesn't double damage. It consumes 2 finishing moves and is probably just some forced double attack. I'm hitting too fast to really know right now, but I'll test it before I sleep

Yeah just hit 90 myself and its exactly as you say...one measly double hit for 2 FMs. Guess they mean us to use it with a full 3 FMBFWS but if you have saber up or some double attack gear then you have a chance of doing the same thing. Don't know yet if it builds upon that for extra hits, but I highly doubt it.

Oh and its flourish III so can't use with CF either >.>

I suspect it is the Blue !! drop off Indirk or Emperador de Altepa. I'm leaning towards Indirk (Light belt, Auroral Alicorn type monster).

Just tried my hand at the Dominion op's dagger.
Dmg: 35 Delay: 201 HP +24 Eva+6

after 8 tries, ended up with:
DMG+8
Resist stun +3
Crit. hit damage +5%


For a basicly free dagger, pretty respectable. considering Mythics for both dnc and thf were 43/200 at 85

While I haven't seen a dagger quite THAT nice yet, I have a LOT of hope for these, as I found a Viper Bite DMG +30% augment on one. If that can be found on Evis or DE, that would be really, REALLY nice.

After doing some math with various atma, I've found that aeolian edge can be boosted quite high when you have access to a 3rd lunar abyssite. It's actually even easier to boost it beyond what most DNCs average evisceration damage does. If for some reason this dagger could come w/ a boost greater than 10% to aeolian edge, it would seal the deal for me. Nothing quite as fun as a DNC going into uleguerand range and spamming 1.7k~2.5k *depending on 3rd abyssite* AoE WSs on worms.

My evis are hitting from 1.5k - 3kish range using VV/RR/Alpha or sangiune or cloak and dagger also used gnarling horn AGI+ for more subtle blow and mobs almost never tp on me maybe 1x before dead lol.Still testing different combos for soloing but **** we destroyed some nms in the visions zone just a thf and dnc duo....

The only reported WS dmg +x% i've seen are low level WS's like Viper bite, backhand blow, ect. so I'm not holding much hope for anything beyond Viper bite, though it could just be super rare.

Now to burn credits trying and combine DMG and crit rate on a mnk weapon...

Doing some forum browsing at work and trying to find an answer on Parazoniums post update.

With the new update and seeing that the multi~hit is at 2~4 (probably will wind up 2~5 I imagine. tried finding info when TotM was first dat mined and someone posting possible augments with that being one but couldnt find it) which winds up being better in the end?

Para+2 damage & straight OAT v. Para+2 multi~hit 2~4

I've been sitting on my Athame as I have all the eggs and horns to do 3 stages at once after I am work on Verdanthi Eyes (0/10 but have a small VNM group finally. souls and the new items from Dominion don't worry me at all for collecting) and am debating wait on the help for Verdanthi pops or suck it up and start working on the full multi~hit.

Suggestions? Danke =^.^=
