added new trials for wind and thunder pathways...DEFINITELY do these with weather + day and you will blow through them in no time. Will add fire kila +1 trial when I find a good spot that has fire weather and birds. I'll also edit the old trials under this new system when I find time to do so.

And for future reference

Day = 1 point

Weather = 5 points

Day + Weather = 6 points

Double weather = 6 points

Double weather + day = 7 points

Probably good old Sand Cockatrices in the Cape once Kindred Crest Fever dies down; a lot of other people will be out there for Fire/Manticores already and will at worst help you by clearing them out and at best by teaming up and crushing everything Uleguerand-style.

Trial 1895: 300 Beasts thunder weather/day

Other nice spots:

Thunder day Uleguerand Range: Weak Bunnies and Tigers for miles. Lots and Lots and lots of mobs that go down ridiculously easy. I like this one too because if you are starting another dagger you can get credit for it on bunnies there as well because weather is usually up.

Vunkerl Inlet: Tigers. Thunder Weather is up here a lot more than anywhere else I've seen. I did over 200 kill credits in an hour here.

I was just working on Morbols for my evasion dagger. I don't know if your luck is amazing or mine is horrible, but the ameretats in Wajaom were using bad breath very often. All but 1 of them used it at least once, and many of them used it twice.

Were you /nin when fighting them?

It's possible that SE messed up their behavior again. They did it a couple of updates ago and the ameretats would spam bad breath instead of vampiric root like they always do. SE fixed it in a maintenance shortly after.

As I recall from endless time spent camping Jaded Jody, they will favor vampiric root if you have shadows up, but will almost always use sweet breath, Impale, vampiric lash, or bad breath if it has tp when your shadows are down.

When I did a few morbols for the last eva dagger trial I think I saw BB maybe twice...

...but then again, I usually solo darkness on these so they don't really have time to do much of anything lol

I was /SAM at the time. Interesting, I've never heard of a mob changing its TP move behavior based on the target having shadows up or not.

I would like to add that with the change to credit during weather effects, trawling Buburimu Penninsula for friendly lowbies to sync with should be well worth considering for anyone working on evasion Kilas. Wind weather is incredibly common there and syncing to 22 or higher will let you plow through most of the mobs; everything along the entire path from Peeler to Kila +1 is represented in Bubu except Morbols and Puks.

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but a MUCH easier place to solo Morbols for me was Riverne B. The repop time was about 10ish mins but between the 3 areas (starting near Soboro NM pop) and then jumping island to island, I was able to get through about 40 solo before the day changed. The other main bonus for this area was Wind weather pops quite a bit, so I was able to finish that section relatively quickly.

They pop about 80-90% EP to me at 85. I killed all so they would respawn as EP. The other bonus was that I was able to farm the Wyverns in between weather to NPC the skins and wings. Made a few K doing that.

Wish there was a bonus for killing Parazonium mobs. 700 Arcana after breezing through 2 Kilas is sucky.

Just wanted to say @"%@$£"%~@£"$%~£"@ Trial 33!!!

Now that everyone is in Abyssea, the Astral Candy has been stolen and I am at 20/200...
Whitegate > Nashmau > Caedarva Mire > Alzadaal Undersea Ruins > Dvucca Isle

If anyone is thinking of doing this trial on Phoenix, let me know for a team up.

I just spent a Windsday in Riverne B after reading your post, and it was MUCH better than Wajaom. Even with no weather, I finished more points in one day in Riverne than I did in a day in Wajaom with weather most of the day. The mobs die super fast, and even when they use bad breath I resisted most of the negative effects. I only got paralyzed once. Thanks!

Yeah its definately wierd, but both Ameretats and Great Ameretats in Wajaom Woodlands share this behavior. I can't speak for the other mobs of this type.

For those going after the last trial of the fire Kila, the Den of Rancor is a pretty good spot. The bird kill requirement is an ecosystem, so bats work. There are loads of Dire Bats rather densely packed in there if you go through the paintbrush door. Fire weather very occasionally pops there too, so there's always the potential to get a little more for the kills.

Unfortunately it's more of a solo spot... I don't think many people would willingly go there, but it's an option none the less. It's not too bad considering, though. The bats are ludicrously squishy at 85 (I don't think I've ever managed to pull off 2k+ DEs before! lol); I managed to get through 70 kills in a day.

Hope that helps. :3

Thanks secret, but yeah the last fire trial I really can't recommend an "optimal" spot really. You can do the same thing in ifrit's cauldron with bats and fire weather, but have to dodge aggro and the placing of the bats are just...weird...

I just got done with this trial, but it was in a JP alliance slaughtering colibri around the leypoint in wajaom. Again, not the best spot in any other situation, but if you can get tons of help like that, then it BECOMES the best spot.

Yeah, definitely one of the more awkward of the new trials. I'm just relieved it's not the actual bird family we need for the kills. Misread it at first and put it off for ages because of that... lol

Well, it's not as if there is really a zone that could be called "good" for fire weather, at least when compared to thunder or wind. The fire trials were always a bit more obnoxious than the other two for this reason, but since this update it's very apparent.

I'm curious which islands you're going to. At the moment, I'm currently cycling only 7 Malboros on the "doughnut" island where Soboro NM is.

Where are the other viable spots?

First off, great guide! Yesterday I finally finished my Dex/Acc Kila +1 and have somehow started to become obsessed with doing magian trials (glutton for punishment I guess). I've started 2 other daggers, the added effect evasion down and added effect defense down ones for overall dancer utility (and eventually want to do acc down for evasion setup, since I can't see me going through all the junk to do the full agi/eva dagger after Kila+1!)

My questions are on -> Trial 49: Any monster x50 and Trial 50: Vermin x75 both in earth weather or day. I'm just having poor luck finding a good spot for either of these trials! Any advice?

Currently I'm on Trial 33 with the Qutrubs. I'm having so much trouble with this. I can solo the drk style qutrubs but the blm one......no.

Not to mention there aren't many people who are doing this trial. My best results for this trial is to be up when JP are on (which is very earlier in the morning here)

I've put this dagger on hold and working on my second eva kila.
Which is going rather well.
The regen on the morbols in WW annoyed me but was doable. My friend showed me an area in vunkerel inlet that had about 5 morbols in one spot where the Orcs are at. The Orcs are EP and where no problem unless you walked in there view of aggro (which is super easy to avoid)
With my experience I get more wind in VI then WW.

I'll have to check more thoroughly but the one's in VI don't seem to do Bad Breath much until their HP is to a certain %. I'd see them do vampiric root or impale more then anything...

I would suggest Fort Karugo's flies G5/H5 area for the vermin. Has moderate earth weather as well so should be able to blow through it fairly quickly. 49...well pick any spot that has easy EP mobs and go at it ^^

Yeah DRKs are pretty easy to take down. BLMs are doable if you can prevent them from casting ice spikes or -aga. Make use of VF as much as you can.

I've currently got one Evasion dagger done (Well, @250 plantoids, so pretty much done) and I plan on doing the second one in a month or so when my THF mule is 75+ so i can work on both at once...

Until then, should I do a STR or DEX kila? or possibly a Store TP Fusetto, or Double Attack/Oatwice/Oa4x/Daka+2?

I'd say definitely do STR kila if you're not going after twashtar eventually. If any multi hit go after the DA dagger. Stay away from OA2-4. DEX is less useful than STR, but may become important again outside of abyssea in the future so would save that one for last.

I have a STP Fusetto +2, a STR/ATK Kila +2, and a DEX/ACC Kila +2 done and 2 AGI/EVA Kilas on the plantoids stage with 30 breeze geodes waiting. For Abyssea I usually go with attack and store tp. I love that store tp Fusetto (almost enough to consider another STP fusetto +1) .

Outside abyssea I do tend to use the DEX/ACC more main hand to boost crit rate a little more and evisceration damage. Dancing edge does more than a low end evisceration, but not a high end one. If it wasnt for those qtrubs I'd do another DEX/ACC for eviscerations outside abyssea.

I have to ask, but how much TP per hit are you getting with your setup? I've always thought that STP builds were kinda moot since you can't easily reach the TP gain of having any multi hit offhand weapon even if you sacrifice a lot of gear.
