Has /DRG ever been considered for anything?

Jumps, simply being an extra attack only give you the tp of your main hand weapon. About 21tp every 3 min is pretty weak compared to /sam. I'm pretty sure the numbers say for tp, /sam, for damage, /nin. Although at near haste cap such as with brd+whm, /drg's extra haste may put it above the others. But this would be pretty situational.

p.s. Is there a haste i'm forgetting? wyv earring is 5%. are u adding airy buckler? (which /sam would also get)

Wyvern Targe (a shield) has a latent of effect of Haste 1% activated with DRG as a support job.

As for DNC/DRG, I haven't tried it since level 30, so I don't know how well it functions at 75. The jumps are kind of a non-issue since we're one-handers, so the only real bonus is the Haste from the equipment. 6% Haste vs. 20% Dual Wield (with Suppanomimi). I'd take the Dual Wield, its damage will more than make up for the Attack Bonus from DRG, and especially if you take advantage of Dual Wield mechanics, using low-delay daggers like Cinquedea or Joyeuse (in acceptable situations), you'll probably get more TP than you would with the 6% Haste. Seems like fun, but I don't see it working out better than the standard subs in practice.

Drgnlord was correct when he mentioned Airy Buckler. It has 1% haste and no specific subjob is needed to activate it.

wyvern targe at least occasionally sells on the AH.

As far as /drg, seems like the standard max haste gear for dnc is 21%, so you would only gain 4% max more haste, add in vbelt and that's only 2%. Obviously you could swap gear, but considering your main incentive is already marginalized does not bode well for the combo.

Basically before 75 it's completely viable as a sub given targe and earring. 6% haste is pretty substantial, which would be on top of swift, samba, and maybe spell.

But then you need to consider the added damage from an extra hit on DE, having 0 defensive abilities, etc. While DW doesn't help TP gain, it is a pretty big chunk to DPS, more than 6% haste.

Well, I guess I was thinking for more for merits, when you shouldn't really have haste and you'd maybe be getting march x 2, haste(spell), and haste samba.

Baically going from 62% haste as /nin to 68% haste as /DRG.
