Merits confusionFollow

So I built up 3 merit points the other night. I put 1 into Evasion(somehow it ate 2). Did the first eva. upgrade cost more than 1? Cause somehow it used 2 instead of 1. I'm confused(nothing new) Are Combat Merits not 1 point for the 1st one?
And yes, laugh all you want at me if I have missed something completely stupid lol

Combat goes 1, 2, 3, 3, 3~

So maybe you had that first one already and didn't notice it?

Either you had 1 merit already in evasion, or you only acquired 2 merit points.

I swear I had 3 points and put my first(ever) 1 into Evasion and then I only had 1 point left. LOL I'm serious IDK wth happened. :(
