DNC Latest and Greatest Accomplishments!Follow

I'm not a DNC, but my sister just finished her LB5 vs Laila 15 minutes ago, took her three tries, first doing the rush 'n crush method (lost due to lack of preparation), second doing the Opo-Opo Necklace method (lost due to lack of steps), and finally she just decided to take my swift belt while I was still asleep (we play on the same account) and sleep to 50% TP and start off with Haste Samba, which worked very well.

The fight was recorded as well so I'll post it here once it's up.

Today I made my first 'great' accomplishment. Solo'd a Battering Ram at lvl 21. Almost died when it used Great Bleat but either curing waltz heals that ailment, or I was lucky enough that it wore off almost immediately.

Finally finished my 90 Twashtar on Friday night.

This past week has been marvelous for my DNC. Over the weekend I got my Twilight Belt, and earlier this week a generous party let me lot their DNC body seals (nobody in the PT wanted them), netting me my +1 body. Since I had an Orthrus pop-set on me and they were planning on brewing him anyway, we went on to get me my Atheling Mantle as well.

Last night I finally finished my Parazonium +2 [Dmg:+23; "Dbl.Atk.+10]! Killing Adze 30 times is indeed a trial.

Unrelated to any Dancer-ish accomplishment (all I've done lately is Atma testing), but I had a revelation about Rudra's Storm earlier this morning. Originally I blamed Thief for its craptasticness, because I thought it was designed to be stacked with Sneak Attack, and proposed making it Crit mod instead of Damage mod as a way to compensate for it.

Now I've realized why they didn't make it Crit mod though... -_-; it's our fault! Climactic Flourish would have let us force a crit on the first hit every time if it had been Crit modded. Climactic -> Presto -> Step -> Rudra's -> RF+hits -> Rudra's for very solid Darkness, crit damage, and +20% damage on the crit from AF3+2 head regardless of monster position every 90 seconds.

... oh man, I wish Rudra's was just Blade: Hi with a DEX mod.

I've been carefully trying to solo some minor NM's, slowly working my way up. Dancer is my newest level 90 job, but i had all skills capped from Thief and all the other jobs, so there werent really any problems.

So far, i've been able to take out;

Iku-Turso (Was really simple)
Dozing Dorian
La Theine Liege and Baba Yaga (no challenge at all)

I then happened to have all the key items for Carabosse...

Was expecting to die, but i took her down to 15% without ever taking a single hit. Then she unfortunately used benediction and i had to call in some support since i was taking faaaaar too long. I probably could have killed her if i had another 30 minutes. Strangely enough, when i finally threw a monk on her, she went absolutely ape-sh*t crazy and damage was flying all over the place.

Felt so good about being able to tank things like that i wanted to give Ovni a try, but unfortunately he was camped beyond belief again.

Still, a good first attempt at hitting up NM's solo on dancer. More testing needs to be done.

I went 1/1 on that on Saturday. Got a hint about H2H, proc'd with Spinning, and got the drop. I'm only amazed I just got around to fighting it.

SMN soloed the Ironclad for the throwing item, too.

Need more DNC AF3+2 though D:

I've kinda wanted to do a Terpsi too. I'm where you are mostly (no beastking wins, but considerably more nyzul and ein tokens) but I don't have 90 million gil :/

I know this is a little more modest than the last few posts, but:

Finished first eva kila up to killing beasts (now on puks)
Took second eva kila part way through killing beasts
Working on tp+100 dagger
Charis Feather
Auric Dagger
RR/GH/SS atmas
More merits done (not finished yet, but decided to keep evasion and clear either H2H or GA)


Have a valid short-term to do list
1) Charis Neck (squid won't drop it)
2) Upgrade swift belt to something better
3) Magian daggers
4) Charis feet
5) Rest of +1 armor (only have head)
6) Finish merits (need Dagger, Closed Position, No Foot Rise, HP, either str or dex)


Once I get those done I can start working on the harder stuff, +2 body, better DD weapons (not that I ever seem to get to really DD), Nyzul.

Charis Necklace, 2x Evasion Kilas +2, Ocelot Trousers get! I've been using RR/GH/VV now and not missing the evasion atma, which has been very nice. Also finished dancer specific merits. 5/5 haste samba, 5/5 reverse flourish, 1/5 fan, 1/5 saber, 3/5 nfr, 5/5 closed position. Dagger merits still remain to be done, already have 5/5 crit dealt and 5/5 crit received.

* Took DNC to 95 on update night, the first of my jobs to reach 95 even though it's my newest of the 5 jobs that I'm keeping at cap
* Completed 1 Kila+3 (AGI/Eva)
* Got Charis Tiara +2 tonight, my first completed DNC +2 piece!

I finally got 80 Twashtar!!! ^.^
Hopefully to work on Itz tonight.
Oh and got Charis Earring too which makes me finish with AF3 for DNC.

Update on Mythic: Finished Alexandrite and I'll be done with all the non-Ampuole requirements by the end of the month (probably including 3x spare Tygers for the level 90 Trial). ...so now I've started buying Heavy Metal.

Anyway, I got DNC AF2 Feet +1 and DNC Cape, which means I no longer need any Dynamis gear.

I have re-written Yugl's Monk spellcast for Dancer again here. I still haven't figured out how to fix the Reverse Flourish problem (sometimes Charis Bangles +2 aren't registered), but I'm working on it.

Been working away on my DNC, my newest job. In the past ~9 days, I've obtained:
* Etoile Toeshoes (they just. would. not. drop. for soooo long), finally 5/5 NQ Relic set
* Etoile Cape
* Charis Casaque +1, which I had for about 22 hours until I got...
* Charis Casaque +2
* Charis Toeshoes +2 (soloed Ovni on DNC for 5 stones)
* Ocelot Gloves
* Oynos Knife (for pure solo with nobody to give me haste)

Still lacking +2 hands/legs, but otherwise no longer missing much outside of an Empy/Mythic weapon.

I've also been playing around in CoP Dyna with my JA proc-machine. Ideally duo, but I've gone in solo several times. Can't believe that a Relic weapon (Spharai for my MNK) is actually looking attainable for me now, some time in 2012.

Got Brutal earring, Epona's ring, and -- completely unexpected -- finally finished ACP for Mirke Wardecors (DA+2, Crit.rate+3%) and landed a Zelus tiara.

So currently I'm at Double Attack +35% (45% if /WAR; ~56.5 while Saber Dancing), Haste +23% (33% with Haste Samba).

Next on the to-do list:
Replace Zelus tiara with Ocelot gloves, Charis Tiara+2, and Charis Toeshoes+2. That should bring me to, or close to, gear haste cap.

been away and basically wyverned from 90-95. Got an oynos(sp) knife, ouch that and merited samba lotsa swings. finished my af3+1 by getting 2 bdy seals from either page 4 or pursuer girl. just gotta figure out what gear for what macros

Congrats Byrth!! I actually took the plunge and did the initial trials and am on Glavoid now ... Not sure if a good thing or not!

What is the trial for Twashtar from 95 - 99?

42/60 Riftdross for the 99 trial now. Hnnngggg I am really tired of farming gil. 30k Alex, 1500 HMP, and now 60 Riftdross are eating my willingness to do Dynamis. It was originally a refreshing change, but now it almost feels like Dynamis again.

60 gets you the NQ non-glowy version. If you want to glow like Sho'nuff, it is still currently 3060 Riftdross (including both trials).

Been super busy since I came back from hiatus at the end of December, but have gotten quite a bit done:

Most important accomplishment: learning how to solo farm dynamis which has put a ton of gil in my pocket for things like Oce+1, Cuauthli headpiece +1, justiciar's torque, rancor mantle, pot bomb, etc. Also finished the "important" AF2+2.5 pieces (etoile casaque and tights)

Next most important: finally got off my lazy ass and finished Twash up to 85. Don't know what took me so long to decide to do this, but no going back now lol. Taking a break from abyssea for a bit, but will probably start doggie farming in a couple of weeks.

And finally...Logwatch ; ; Been lucky to get athos gloves/boots and lux pugio without much effort but the 2 things I really want (coruscanti and Toci's) have eluded me. But at the same time I'm up in about 50 or so heavy metal plates just from pickup groups, so If i keep going on like this I'll have a good chunk of them finished by the time I get around to actually buying them.
