I saw this thread with a more orginized list of places to solo at... there all in the past tho so you can still use my thread for future places to solo xp...

I would like to make a list of what mob at what area and what level to solo them at is the best to solo all the way to 75. I got this idea from a thread about who not to fight so I figured I would make one with mobs they SHOULD fight.

Reply with what mobs are best and at what lvl and area there in and ill add them to this thread.

-Food&Gear-
First off I highly advise you get all the evasion gear you can get your hands on and attack food before you attemp these camps (I personaly use meat mithkabobs).

Battle Gloves

Post lvl 15 Chr gear swaping in when doing dances like curing waltz.



-Below lvl 10-
Pretty much anything in starting areas.


-12~15-
The crabs in La Theine (at the lake) make good targets if you are using H2H. You can even get solo exp chains at lv12-13, just make sure you stick to the EM's and below.

You can also take Sheep, Worms, and bats in that area

Level 12-15 should be on tunnel worms right outside North Gustaberg [S] because you can also get the regen!

Level 13ish head to lake in La thaine pleatu(spelling) at the top of the map. Start with worms work your way up to crabs once you level a bit. Basic rule here fight any thing that checks decent challange; don't try your luck with even match. I stayed in this camp until I was 15.


-15~20-
Mandys/rarabs outside windy[S]. There is ALOT of the mobs and at 15 they are all EP-DC, Allied sigil with regen. They give more xp then normal ep-dc because there also tougher then normal ep-dc mobs.
But with curing waltz you should be able to kill nonstop and keep 300tp at most times.

Rarrabs in the dunes(EM-Tough) with H2H decent gear, DS keeps your HP up and once it gets half way down or so useing Curing Waltz heals almost to full HP and only cost 20 TP.

At 16 you can head to tahrongi cannon(spelling) and fight Dhamel. Dhamel only have one move to wory about, defense down one, but with evasion gear will not matter much. Head towards the the middle of the area and run around , Dhamel roam all around there, check even match to decent challange.

Right now im lvl 16, Using dagger.

I have been taking on T gobs, lizzards and bunnies in the dunes. Drain Samba + Curing Waltz. I have been getting pretty fast kills on them for about 150-200 off each.

All I do is beat down the bats in the tunnel and DC lizzards until I have 300% TP. Then I just use waltz and never really drop below 240% TP the whole time.

Im guessing that DNC duo would work pretty well in the dunes and lvl up quickly
(It takes me about 1-2 mins to kill a T-VT gob)

At lv 22 can do crawlers west sarutabaruta [s] no dangerous moves check ep to decent challange. I tried the crows there ev to t hit a tad to hard for me so I imagince can do them at 23 or 24.


Can do crabs at west sarutabaruta [s] with attack food too(get around there defense buff) at I-11 at 22. However, only do the even match ones the tough ones will destroy you found that out the hard way. :P


At lvl 20 you can dual weild acc knifes with /nin. You also can use quickstep. So you can chain EM-VT in the dunes on chewy gobs and rabbits. With some meat mithkabobs there is almost no chance to hit for 0 damage. At this time I soloed 2 tough gobs at the same time and won and it only cost me -150tp or so total. So make sure you keep your TP up at all times.

Emphasis on evasion gear and attack food at this camp as every thing checks even match to tough with only a few decent challange. Maze of shakrimi(spelling) at lv 17. Be careful though, master curing waltz before attempting this or you will die. However, you can easly build chains here. Carefully pull the goblins then go after the maze makers. I made about 2.5k a hr here no ring with only 1 death.

Im only lv 20 at the moment so no other camp experience yet (lucky enough get a pt to 20 after soloing to 17^^). Best of luck to all you dancers out there.

What regen would that be? then ill be happy to edit this in as well

He means the Regen Sigil gives you.

Came across a 15 DNC/BRD soloing gobs in Valkurm (no tinks). Got chased off a couple times by a linking gob, but I was amazed. Curing Waltz ftw.

This sounds really great. I am about to unlock DNC and i was wondering something, what subjob did you use? I hear pup as sub makes dnc a monster. What sub are you using with dnc?

That is why i love Windy, i can level up in my home turf from 1 to 20ish. Don't forget you have the maze to go and level up in once you are high enough.

I am also tossed up on what sub to use. I have WAR and PUP both. Right now i am using WAR because my poor Pamama doesn't heal me yet. But i think as i go up in levels i will definitely be switching up to sub my pup, if not for the healing, then for the blm or war pup. Double dose of kick @$$!! DNC/PUP ftw!!!

I just started playing with PUP as my sub after 7 deaths with war sub and i have to say it is awesome. Between that and the drain samba i am a beast and really don't need to rest that often. I am settled, /PUP is the job i am going with for DNC for now. Party wise i will probably go with /WAR until i get to the level where i can dual weild with my NIN.

I tryed /pup at lvl 13 and the auto got killed in 3 hits. cant use manuvers. and barly hits for anything. thats my experience with /pup. your experience may vary.

wow nice thread i'll make use of this baby when I start to level up dancer, I am working on a subjob at the momment for those times when i probably would use h2h never did....

I soloed Maze Makers in the Maze of Shakrami from 17-22. I was able to solo Land Worms in Qufim Isle until 25. I then soloed Abyss Worms in The Maze of Shakrami until 29. I just dinged 30 from soloing Yuhtunga Mandragoras.

I went from 1-9 in saruta, 9-11 in tahrongi killing saplings rarabs and bees. 11-15 in south gustaburg (s) killing worms, then taking saplings around 13, and the odd vulture as well closer to 15. I did 4-8k XP/hour at this point. After that I made the mistake of sticking to west sarutabaruta (s) killing rarabs then adding bees into the mix until 18. Bee's are great but they are mixed in with alot higher level mobs so you have to be careful pulling. West of the outpost there was a good mix of the 2 mobs with a constant patrol of pixies keeping me topped up. I grinded through these levels at around 2.5k/hour. At 18 I moved back over to south gustaburg (s) and blew through 2 levels on worms getting constant chain 5's. At 20 I started adding lizards into the mix. My main goal was to stick to past zones as much as possible for the sigil refresh/regen/food duration bonus. DNC/BLU is the best combo I have tried by far, cocoon is just nuts at these levels and I only had <10% fail rate with the nuke/enfeebles. sigil refresh is good enough to where you can spam the spells :) I managed 4-7K XP/hour for these levels.

I leveled WHM/NIN to 30 solo and I have to say DNC is about as slow to kill things, but theres almost no chance of dying while doing it. At least theres plenty of time to read the forums waiting for the fights to end :D It reminds me alot of pally in WoW honestly, sitting there watching auto attack go for 20 levels before starting to get abilities you can use to make it more interesting was... painful.

I also did BLU from 1-15 before I leveled up DNC and I have to say theres absolutely no comparison with leveling speed between the two. It took under 2 hours for me to get BLU from 10-15 in the same area right outside of past bastok and I hit 10k/hour doing it. How long has that been possible without it getting adjusted? Just came back to the game from a 1.5 year hiatus to play these new jobs and having a blast :D

well.. here we go went from 1-34 in 2 days solo/duo Galka DNC ftw

1-10: outside of any home nation (easiest)
10-16: ghelsiba(SP) outpost (orc chains from ep/em = really fast lvls)
16-22: valkrum Dunes (try to stay away from crabs and flys as crabs have high def and take a long time to kill and flys can poison u that will stick for a long time)
22-29: qufim (worms here were great i was chain 5 soloing for over 200exp per kill ^^)
29-34 mandys in yuhtunga

Chain 5 solo on non gob pets, with our damage output? what sort of voodoo did you conjure up?

I barely broke chain 3 in Qufim and that was with dagger merits, atk gear/food, and a hefty dose of eva gear/merits.

I fought worms, bats, and snippers to actually rock out my chains. It was quite easy really. If i can do it, anybody can lol.

Wents the the dunes last night at 15 duoed 3 lvls with a lvl 13 Nin got him 3 lvls also.

15-16 Duoed T bunnies in the dunes near where your can turn toward the OP

At 16 me and nin started to look at bunnies, Butchers and other gobs that conned T to me (T- T++) even with no ring lot of chain 2.

Hmm wash and repeat stayed away from the VT no need to get the nin killed. no attack did much under the might of curing waltz FTW. Hp's did not stay red or yello long and my tp never really dropped below 240 except those rare VT's. Oh at this point the nin was not even casting ichi and just pumping out WS for DD. WHAT BOMB TOSS?!?!?! Where's the GOBLIN RUSH GOING!?!?! Chain 2 and 3 common

What we did to Mobs that checked T to me was just like what a train does to a watermelon on train tracks. "SQUISH" CHAIN #3 /evil grin.

Find your self a job LFP make a duo get tp and trash any and all the T mobs you find to who ever is the Highest lvl.

North Gustaberg(s)
15+ worms
around 24 you can duo T worms on strip of land before in north eastern corner of North Gustaberg (S) Then Grauberg(s) near the little house on southwestern corner of map can duo then solo to around 40. I don't remember exact details because it has been a while. I do know that from 18-24 it slows down a bit and you can do vultures. ONce you hit 24 though. Duo with a RNG ,in sync if you have to. Quite fun. Chain 5 on T worms

Maybe the Deinonychus and Kuftal Diggers in the lower level of Kuftal Tunnel? They should be EM @ lvl 68. The gobs too if you can get a solo pull on them.

Kill EP's doing FoV. DNC dps is so horrible you'll be beating on EM for 5 minutes.

Also, fighting bats is a bad idea because of the powerful attack down (or evasion down depending on variety).

Solo'd Grass Fungar, Worms, and Crabs in La Theine Plateau around L-11 (by the pond) @ lvl 14. Using DNC/MNK

Once I got Curing Waltz I moved to the northeast zone of the dunes and picked off hares that conned Tough. Used Squid Sushi. Never had much trouble.

Level 16-18 I started killing Tough Gob Ambushers and Butchers at the same zone in the Dunes. If you are careful not to get links, I had no issues. Good idea to build TP on a Hare before fighting gobs to be safe.

I thought fighting Tough mobs would be risky, but it was rather easy thanks to Drain Samba and Curing Waltz.
