Unlocking Dancer

~ Speak to Laila in Upper Jeuno (G-7).
~ After you speak with Laila, you talk to a dancing Mithra right next to her. She then sends you off to Lion's Tavern in South San'Doria.
~ Speak with one of the bartenders in the Tavern for another CS where you dance (horribly).
~ Afterwards, head back to Upper Jeuno and speak to the mithra again.
~ Next use the Cavernous Maw at H-5 in Batailla Downs.
~ After the CS's, move through Batailla Downs (S) toward Jugner Forest (S) (Gobbies and a few tigers rate EP and lower to a job at 75).
~ Head southwest in Jugner, to the east of the lake. When you spot a small outpost-like area, head north up between the mountains and lake to I-5 where you will find the Sparkling Stones clickable, get a CS by clicking it. Beware of biddybugs, they can aggro!
~ After, head back to Upper Jeuno and speak with Laila one last time.

Congratulations, you can now play as a Dancer!

Note: Guide taken from here and redone/reposted so it's easier to see.

Stupid question:

Does the "S" stand for the past version of the zone? I keep seeing this and wondering what's up with it.

Also, good job on posting a clear version of quest layout, not too much travelling either.

Yes. (S) = Past Zone.

Any idea of how difficult the mobs are in Jugner Forest S? What should I look out for when heading towards the lake?

Only mob that aggro'd me on my trip were the ladybugs, which conned EP and were easily solo'able by a few different jobs at 75 that I saw fighting them. Hit for 87 dmg on a mage.

My highest job is only a 48 Dragoon, so I'll probably have some issues, then.

If it checks as EP to a Level 99, I'm in trouble. o_O

Er, so could I, a level 47 Corsair, walk to this lake in Jugner? What if I used sneak/invis?

It is unconfirmed, but I believe bittybugs aggro to sight. Gobbies and tigers aggro by sight. So I believe it can be done with only invisible.

Pretty much confirmed my suspicions, thanks for posting this.

Seems like ladybugs are the new 'imps' for job unlocks. /sigh.

Just once, could a quest not be, talk to npc X, Y and Z, go to new zone, sneak/invis to somewhere, click something, warp? /sigh.

OK, I died due to aggro from a goblin. I had to HP (Whitegate), so I choco I went back to the Maw, and now when I click on it - "Nothing happens..." How can I get back in there to get my pebble?

Some precisions:

1- There can be some DC (to 75) mobs in Jugner (S) that are pretty hard.

2- Sneak / Invi works

3- there 3 maw you can get into:

Batallia Downs (H-5)
Rolanberry Fields (H-6)
Sauromugue Champaign (K-9)

You'll get 1-1 done by using one of them the first time

If after CS you end up Sauromugue Champaign (S) once your way to Jugner forest, I suggest you check the others Maw to activate them. Else if you die, you'll have to get past GC Gate #3 to get back in Past. (Can only use Maws you used from the Past zones at least once)

Ladybugs are not true sight and don't aggro to anything else, but they do link.

Quest Name: Lakeside Minuet
Laila (Artisan bridge, Upper Jeuno)
Summary: Laila has asked that you bring her a stardust pebble before she'll consider allowing you to join Troupe Brilioth.

Just some extra helpful info ^^

Do you have to go through the new zone attached to Jugner (whatever it's called) to get to the lake, or can you get there from the Batallia entrance? I was wandering around in Jugner, but couldn't figure out how to get by those walls. Or is there a bridge over one of them I didn't notice?

I went to lake as 65 SAM only things aggroed were Biddybugs aggro by sight (tested) not truesight cause later I tonkoed past em there are a few other "nasties in the area but if you stick to right side and stay invis if you can't handle the fight (suggest 70+ as biddybugs ate my soul as a 65) Biddybugs are highly linkable though so if you get one and plan on taking it on move away from others and to answer another post you can access the lake from batilla downs no need to go through the Inlet

If your getting nowhere after you get the initial cs from Laila about an "Auntie" and the mithra NPC isnt saying anything important then.....

Talk to Laila again and select "Give up" this time.. she will continue another cs saying to get that key item pebble in the past..

Now talk to the Mithra npc and get that cs to head to Sandy tavern..

Excellent Guide.

Most guide left out the part that you suppose to have the pass to access the past [S] area and told you to head straight to Jugner Forest Cavernous Maw.

Rate up.

First time through you have to return to the Maw that spit you out into the past. It's a real pita if it is the one that goes through Garlaige citadel... Why they had to do that I dunno, it's just silly to make you jump through those bloody gates.

Anyway once you go back trhough that one I think it is "unlocked" there are maw threads on the board that explain it better than I.

All advanced jobs require you to be on a level 30 job to start the quest, actually.

Yes because in sau.champ in the past the maw will be ontop of a hill which u cannot gain access to it unless u go past gate #3

*Note* Dont use a new maw in the present if u didnt went to it from the past. youll end up having to go through sau champ. maw to get back to the present

Or he can warp, or teleport... I don't even think you can use a new maw period if you leave incorrectly without opening up new Maws. And by incorrectly I mean warping, teleporting. It's ok if you have new Maws unlocked though, then you can use/open up the other Jeuno ones you did not use.

Yes, that is Dancer AF. All we know about it right now is the names:
Dancer's Tiara
Dancer's Dress
Dancer's Bangles
Dancer's Tights
Dancer's (Toe) Shoes

That last one is weird, because the Wiki used to say "Toe Shoes" and now it just says "Shoes."
