Personally, I'm thinking anywhere between 0% and 1%

I mean Thunder V seems obvious, I'd say there's a good chance of Regen IV, and a decent shot at Addle. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Comet, but I'm not too confident.

I'm going to be the optimist PUP that Is ALWAYS WRONG.
I'm banking 99% and a mil Gil on the fact that we get it.

Upon this impending fail payment will be made to Kodi.

It's not outside the realm of possibility, really. Pup just definitely won't be getting meteor. Comet is single target, so it's a possibility.

I'm going to be a realist here and give a resounding no. We've never received any of the other big name Final Fantasy staple spells (e.g. Flare, Flood, Holy) and I can't see why Square would change this now especially since it's Black Mages new toy. I find it much more likely that we would get AM or a similar spells before we got Comet.

Stopping to think about it I'm not sure how the dynamics of spell with a (potentially) gigantic casting time and huge spike damage would effect Puppetmaster. I've always been under the impression that large nukes were very much about timing (to avoid death) which we have very little tangible control over

Then again, on the other side, with our ability to remove all hate the and restore all our MP with deactivate we'd be erasing the real negatives of long casting time spells... which could be extremely overpowered.

I just can't see SE allowing Comet or any other similar spell any time soon. Feel free to disagree with me, I'd really like to be wrong here :)

It seems very likely that we will not get any new spells in the 95->99 update. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we're better off with low expectations for that update (from a PUP nuking perspective). So enjoy Thunder V before the 99 update!

I am personally thinking in the 95-99 update we might get our own little delightful spell, just so BLM can be jelly.

Just to note, regarding that statement. If you look at the NMs that currently use Comet, it's actually a very short casting time. Absolute Virtue casts it in about 2-3 seconds, Iratham and Titlacauan cast it even quicker.

Of course there's no guarantee that the player version will be the same, but it's what we have to go on right now.
