is it worth it to have the auto deployed full and not have melee skill capped to be able force the to only cure when you need it.
or would better to use valor head and sw body like i read somewhere else

If you're asking what I think you are:
You can use the valoredge head and stormwaker body combination to make a puppet that will cast only cure spells. Please be aware that this combination lacks cure 5.
If you choose to use this combination the vast majority of your damage will come from the Master; Automaton Melee Skill being under the cap on this combination is not a major issue. If you are soloing anywhere other than campaign, you'll pick up Automaton Melee Skill as you solo.
