Sky Farming......PUP StyleFollow

Myself and a few other Lv. 75 PUPs are going to be heading up to sky tomorrow and see just exactly what all we can blow up up there with our BLM puppets.

We're planning on trying all sorts of different things to see exactly what a small group of PUPs can do in sky. Some ideas we tossed around were Diorite farming, Ro'Maeve Water farming, Despot, and Faust.

During our last sky farming run, there were 2 PUPs in the group of 6 trying to farm Diorites at the Ullikummi camp. With just 2 of us, two x3 Ice Maneuver Blizz IV were taking Aura Statues from 100% down to about 50-55%, so with 4-5 PUPs there the kills would be very easy and also the exp would be pretty nice.

We also tested nukes on dolls (trying to pop Despot) and I think just 4 PUPs can take down dolls in a single round of Blizz IV's from 4 puppets.

We'll see what we can do and I'll post our results here.

I just found Faust up so I sent the Automaton in and......I was a little surprised. Even though I don't have a Scanner equipped, the puppet went with Thunder III rather than Blizzard IV on Faust.

Nah, we didn't try Ullikummi today. We're going to attempt it on Wednesday with others from the LS there. I'll take some screen grabs of the puppet's damage on Ullikummi.

Oh, and Lyrminas and I were easily able to duo Aura Pots with ease meleeing with WHM puppets. No Waters dropped though after about 2 hours of killing pots.

Nah, we like Lyrminas right where he is TYVM! He says you make him go MNK to everything, he's all about PUP now.

So we've killed Olla Grande twice now with PUP x2, THF, SMN, BRD

Lyrminas the PUP tanked the entire fight pretty much except for when Titan would tank after Mountain Buster.

Thank you !!! it's a lot of fun, we're pushing the pupness as far as we can take it

and trying new things :D One of our ls thfs came up and we managed to get 4 waters in

30 minutes. So we went after olla and voila!

MG was up as well so we wanted to try this method:

Whm Head pup > Light > Dark > Bio II MG Deactivate

Other pups nuke with sneak on. This however will only work till 50% ( Dot method from whm head )

so..... We were thinking sacking someone to dot it after the 50% mark.

Unresisted Bliz IV with Tranquilizer ( full af2 + acp body 7mab macc ) took 9% off MG

If we can manage to pull all our pewps up to sky!

At the time we only had BRD/nin SMN/sch PUP/nin PUP/nin that were left after 4 ollas so we fed

the taru SMN to MG.... * laughs *

While on this post! I'm really amped to see if they will introduce Thunder IV come this 80 cap ^0^

The lake area helped alot making mobs bounce around on the bushes to gain distance. getting better and better with this kiting gig, anyone know of a thread or webbie that has listings of obstacles that cause the mobs to do weird pathing?

We're aware that Despot can be solo'd, but the point of our strategy was to kill the dolls fast and efficient while they still sat in their alcoves. Kills were very quick and we would just work our way up and down each side, like a conveyor belt until Despot popped for us.

Has anybody been able to kill Aura stats solo? WHen i go/nin i tend to deaggro them around the porter, or have trouble recasting shadows so i end up getting 3 nukes(need 4) in before im hurting on hp. This is with hermes sandals. maybe i just suck at kite/nuke, or need to make more efficient blink macros.

I have not tried /sch, but the mobs are VT-IT and im not sure how reliable a sleep spell would be.

any input besides suck less?;_;
