I was just wondering where the Shikkoku Togi stands in terms of body pieces available to PUPs. Should I pursue one or is it trumped by other choices?

I have the ACP Body with Acc and Pet: MAB/MACC as well as Relic body at the moment. Should I consider Shikkoku Togi as well? The stats seem somewhat subpar in comparison to ACP body for WS and when TPing with the pet, I usually throw on the relic body. Also I should mention Enkidu's is somewhere on the horizon as I'm climbing up the ZNM tiers towards Tinnin.

A base togi is more or less a sidegrade to a mirke that has acc+10 on it for stringing pummel. The thing about it is, it's much better than a mirke for stringing pummel once you start adding in evoliths. Pretty much, if you get one it'll be an amazing merit piece for birds, but that's about it.

The issue isn't the togis superiority on specific mob families though. By the time you complete a shikkoku with beastly evoliths and such the level cap will have been raised thereby changing the mob you kill most often.

In my opinion, this is what you should focus on. It's not quite as amazing as a pimped out shikkoku on whatever mob you have it set up for, but it's useful for all other family types as well.

Imo, I've not seen enough info on the % increase to critical hit damage to make an informed decision on what is better for WS, but I can tell you that Shikkoku togi will give you higher spikes, while your augmented Mirke will give you more consistant numbers (Not that the togi won't give you consistant numbers either).

At any rate, I'd probably lean more towards the togi for WS if the crit is a tangable bonus.

Hey now, that "decision-making time" is very useful.
I couldn't decide which movie to see last-week, I put up an Ice Maneuver and BOOM, my automaton immediately figured it out for me.

first off what the **** did i get defaulted for

second, i specifically pointed out that in -my- situation where my ACP is completely geared towards my automaton, shikkoku is a better piece. i made no generalizations i did not say lolacp

1: lolkarma
2: I have no idea. In your situation the togi is much better(although you forgot the 5 dex in your stat comparison).

What makes the togi better than mirke isn't the critical damage bonus, but rather the evoliths you can put into it. I saw a togi the other day with STR+4 Acc+8 Atck+8 Crit damage+ Vs. Birds: Acc+8 Vs. Birds: Atck+8 which wipes the floor with practically every body piece we can use, but only for birds. Now without those evoliths or that mob type, the difference becomes much smaller. Togi: 8 atck crit damage bonus, Mirke: 1 str 5 dex 2 acc. In this case the difference is more based on your hit rate until, as you said, we figure out a tangible bonus from the crit damage.
