That Birdbanes would match up slightly on par, or slightly above par with Waghs. On birds only of course. Since the large skill upgrade, are these now a viable choice on Greater Colibri? Just a small test on Lesser Colibri, I was hitting for anywhere between 60-100(Waghs) and 80-120(Birdbanes). My highest hit with Birdbanes was a 201 critical hit.

Well to state the obvious, what it really comes down to is if the extra piercing bonus damage can make up for the slightly higher delay and lower WS. The comparison is really more like this (Assuming 272 skill for this):

Waghs:
DMG 50 Delay 420 Accuracy +5 Attack +14

Birdbanes:
DMG 46 Delay 444 Piercing damage bonus

I think Birdbanes could probably win if you can get enough attack to make it worth it to be honest. Pure speculation though.

At a glance I'd say the difference (if birdbanes are in fact better) is going to be minimal at best, and therefore not worth the effort to go camp for PUP.

PUP actually gets a more even balance of melee/WS damage compared to MNK, so they're really better for MNK.

I got them fairly easy actually. 1/4 with no TH. I wanted them just to have a piercing weapon without having to use daggers. Now, just looking to see if they are good for merits or not.

Don't forget, Birdbanes has vs. Birds: Acc. +3 on them.

I went 1/40 on my Birdbanes. The only reason I got them is for synced parties between 54 and 70, and Limbus immunity floor.
