Had a puppet burn, out in Bhaflau Thickets this afternoon on Slyph.
Went as expected, two Pup/Dnc's, two /Wars, and a JP /nin, and one /whm. Highest we ever got was Chain 6 on NQ Colibri at a 61 sync. Daze with Flame holder went up significantly, we were getting about +6 with AF per manuver, which is about +3 Attack per one +9 with all three up (Though you'll only get Arcballista which did Daze's average damage.) My Daze usually does about 450-600 depending on the level sync and manuvers, Pup tank couldn't keep hate so we changed setups. Regular shots that used to hit for 110 now hit for 143 with a Thunder/Fire/Wind rotation. The lack of Racc being factored into range makes the Drum Magazine all the more useless while making the -Enmity pieces even more viable.
I don't think we can go to East Ronfaure S anymore, lol.
The important thing here is the latter puppetry setups 3 Souls, 2 Shots, and a VE (Me.) Valoredge did surprisingly well with just Target Marker/ Coiler/ Stablizer, Strobe or Flame holder / Attuner/ and Tension Spring II. Its Ws damage as mediocre, max being 300+ on Cannibal blade and one really sexy 336 Chimera Ripper but on average, Mashi swung for 55-60+ without any fire manuvers, even though I wasn't hitting it that hard. WS damage was usually 100.
With the strobe on, it made a good backup tank to the Pup/War that was designated to tank. It kept the hate off the Sharpshots, and the Hammerill did a good job with shield bash and enmity. As he swung for more damage, and double attacked more often, constantly provoking, it was able to tank every other to every two fights for the full duration and could Canibal blade its health back to about 80% with el-cheapo oil, and some lights.
Auto-Repair Kits I and II respectively have become "The SHIIITTE" so I imagine not having them anymore would be less then stellar and should be mandated with every new Pup. When I used sharpshot, it'd just for at least 1/9th of its bar every few seconds with just two light manuvers up and ARKII. With a fully capped Melee auto making the slightly more average Pup in our group switch to his VE frame later on as well, I'd say SE did a pretty good job.

I also spent a few hours skilling up in Boyhda Tree, nothing too remarkable though. 6 Pups and a helper all doing Stringing Pummel and the like on Steelshells. My Pup isn't 75, so I couldn't test it myself but most of the ones in the Pt seemed relatively impressed with the buffs to H2h as they got more and more capped.
Spiritweaver and Soulsoother respectively did... about exactly the same. Magic isn't really my forte as pup. I've got Cure V, but none of the luxury nuking equipment, just slightly above the basics. Still both frames were eating Cursed Sphere, and Bubbleshower pretty good. Not the same as me, but strangely alittle better in some regards. I'd tell you I s#@t a brick, but I didn't. AoE will still wipe your puppet, thats never going to change with pet jobs.
One Pup said: "Even at B+ we're still really good. Though this job/game has alot of elitism, its really going to show now at endgame. SE made us about as good with our fists, as a Dnc is with its dagger. Dnc gets flak for not being really all that useful or accurate at endgame, but merely passable. But Dnc does not have an Automaton like mine."
I've got a few papers to write, but when I play again I'll keep you guys posted on the new Slyph Pup escapades.
