Oh yeah, Pamama is definitely a she. Besides being a banana, think of it as a Tarutaru female name (ending in the same syllable repeated).

Unfortunately SE is totally sexist when it comes to puppet names. I only know this because Pamama occasionally parries with "HIS" weapon. WTF is that? There are some female names on the list. SE needs to get with the times.

Got DRG leveled, so I finally have it available as a sub. Picked up a Wyvern Earring as well too, now all I gotta do is try it at an event. >.>

Pantin Churidars. Acc+5 STR+2 VIT+2 (add 2 more Acc for the +1). Stringing Pummel has big STR/VIT modifiers (32%), as well as the natural benefits of STR for damage. I use mine over my Acc+7 DEX+2 Desultor Tassets. Especially if you have big chunks of accuracy elsewhere (e.g. a WS Anwig Salade, Virtuoso Belt, Acc Mirke), the trade-off for a little less Acc on the legs slot for STR/VIT is probably a good one. And Pantin still do have respectable Acc. Not to mention you should want them anyway for the Pet M.Acc.

Your ASA legs are as good or better than anything but Pantin/+1 and Surge.

I had a 9 Utukku spawn rotation in Fei'Yin, and at "1 objective remains" 7 consecutive ghosts popped as "Too Weak" before I finally got an Easy Prey to finish my trial.

:) I figured since I haven't been able to get a Nyzul PT to successfully climb past 13 (I've been trying since August 2009), getting almost 10,000 WS points would be a nice bragging right. :P Almost there!

Oh yeah, 1 more merit until capped h2h and 3 more upgrades until all my PUP merits are capped out. :D


As far as Nyzul goes,
I've tried shouting and statics. Both have failed. 2 statics fell through, and shouting usually takes up to 6 hours to get a full PT. Half the time the PT will bail after the first attempt/failure. Hence being stuck on 11 for 9 months. ><

1/1 on Surge Subligar
1/1 on Wayang Kulit Mantle (as if anyone really wants this...)

and now, 1/2 on Spurrer Beret.

These PUP drops seem to like me

I used the strategy that's near the bottom on Wiki's discussion page. Pulled it to the campaign room, then kited it through the two tunnels that lead from the room to the C.A.

Need movement speed, Desert Boots work fine, as long as you keep Sandstorm up at all times. Assuming it doesn't hit you, it will de-aggro about 20-25 seconds after you cast on it. Everytime it de-aggros, Keep up Sandstorm, Sublimation, Stoneskin, etc... Then pull it again with a Helix, Dia II (Bio supposedly wears off very fast), or a nuke. Try to cast from max range, or it may hit you if it attempts a TP move (if it uses Microspores to put a Helix on you, it will HURT.)

It's pretty easy actually, as long as you pay attention. Any mage that can keep MP up, and has some way to enhance movement speed can do it.

Fairly interesting, I currently have 8% movement speed on BLM, do you think I could solo it using DoT and zone on the zone line? Or would you suggest keeping it to the corridors

Joined a new Limbus shell recently after retiring for good from Dyna and freeing up some FFXI time for other events. Don't care about Homam/Nashira (none of my jobs use it), already have most of the AF+1 items that I really care about for all of my jobs, so I mainly went back to Limbus just because I think it's a fun event, especially on PUP. And the Anct. Beastcoin money is always nice.

I've always liked PUP in Limbus, but since I last did it my gear/merits are improved, I got the H2H skill boost from March update, and I've gotten into playing with parsers. Anyway, I've been really impressed. I've come to three runs now, all on PUP/NIN (Spiritreaver frame for the most part). I generally melee myself while controlling my puppet to nuke.

One run (NE Apollyon) my puppet and I combined to be #1 DD by a fair margin, which wasn't too shocking to me. Beat out a SAM and BLM as the other top DDs. What surprised me though was that master/puppet came close to taking slots #1 AND #2, we were 1-2 until the 3rd of 5 floors then slipped a bit. Ended up #2 (master) and #3 (automaton).

Then yesterday, Proto-Omega run surprised me. A lot of people showed up, and we went in with an 18/18 alliance. And my Spiritreaver automaton ALONE was #1 DD by a pretty healthy chunk (15.something% of total, second place was a SAM who was 12.something). Beat out a SAM, a DRK, a RNG, and four BLMs. My own damage was garbage here, but I was standing back a lot and not meleeing - I did contribute a little bit of melee during Proto-Omega's magic-resistant forms.

So yeah, happy that my PUP is making a good showing. The LS members aren't bad players either! Not the most elite bunch around, we're not talking a group of relic holders with every elite piece, but the DDs generally have very solid gear and understand what they're doing. And I can't wait till SW Apollyon to solo/depop the third floor of Mimics and make people who don't know PUP can do that say o.O ;)

Believe it or not, we went 5/5 Swift Belt drops when I went with some friends a few months back. One thief in the party.

Not sure if this is much of an achievement, managed to trio Under Observation with a party of PUP's.
All subbed NIN, two used Soulsoother and one used Valoredge. Have the Eraser on and this is a easy as pie fight.
