Hello there, I'm a player considering coming back to the game, starting with a new, fresh account, and I have some questions about the COR job, which I'd like to make as my main job.
FIrst, I know that COR, like RNG, it's pretty much very expensive overall. Do you think that, as a restarting player, with the few gil I could make with some crystal farming/GoV/FoV I would be able to cover the costs of mainly ammos and the various rolls? It would be great if I could last until 60 with some gil gathered by myself, 'cause I have little interest in levelling past 60 (mainly because I'll be focusing on Ballista).
Also, is Marksmanship extremely slow to skill up? I was thinking of skilling it with a different job, maybe THF or WAR and using a crossbow for faster skill ups, though I'm not sure on this. On my old account I had a very hard time skilling up ranged combat skills, but that was a long time ago, and I'd like to know if things got easier.

COR doubts: skilling up/ammoFollow
it should help offset the costs (personally, I'd look into being able to synth the bullets you can use at 60, since it'll save you some money in the long run; plus, it can make you extra money, if you decide to synth and try to sell bullets (cause I'm not sure on the bullet trade on your server)), but you might need to go and do some extra farming on your own.
Not too sure on the marksmanship front, but it couldn't hurt to build up thf (never hurts to build that up to 49), and skill up using a c.bow, since the ammo is considerably cheaper than bullets. If you really want to maximize skill gains, you could wait for Martial Master from the mog tablets (and I believe there's a buff from GoV/FoV that gives you enhanced skill gains), but the tablets change once a week, even then, it's a craps-shot of it happening.

Thanks mate. Yeah, now I remember about those Mog tablet bonuses about skill-ups, I hope I'll be lucky enough to have it active for a long time. I also searched and found that there are some foods that increase the skill-up gains, so I think it won't be terribly difficult to cap MM while levelling.
Crafting wise, starting from scratch I think it'll be quite difficult, but I'll try nonetheless, maybe I'll try to get some help from a social LS or so. Thanks again!
