So I've recently started join imp pts and have been asked to be puller and I was just wonder are imps usually so sleep resistant? @_@ I've tried stacking as much agi as possibly with a base of 69+28 with wind staff and my light shots are still pretty suckish. I also have an Apollo staff so would they stick more with Apollos?

As Lacaan said, use Light/Apollo's. The Light Accuracy, even with NQ, trumps the AGI on Wind Staff by far.

Even using Light/Apollo's you will still get resists. Imps may be weak to Light, but they're still incredibly resistant to magic in general.

This is where I used to link my blog... but then I realized that I'm not very interesting.

Depends on level most likely. I have a near 100% sleep success on Imps at 75 (if I for some reason accidentally aggro one on my way to einherjar. The VT kind from runic portal area.)

No merits in QD accuracy yet, and I sleep them even with Austere Staff equipped. Though I am a Mithra.

The main problem is that by the time most people start fighting Imps, they are way overhunting. It usually works out well because imps are so relatively weak, but you have to get used to things not sticking on them simply because of their level. I remember my Light Shots getting resisted a lot on them too at 68 but don't worry because at 75 they will be no sweat.

I was pulling in mire last night at 67 and sleeping them reasonably reliably. Had the occasional second shot but never failed to sleep em. I use an apollos as I have it for other jobs

Apollos
Shark Gun
AF Head/Body/Feet
Jaridah Hands/Legs
+3 AGI rope I got from MMM
1 +3 AGI Ring and I think my +4 Macc Ring (BAlrahns)
Spectacles
Drone Earrings
Am+1 (Forgot my Nomads)

I found that if I was in a party synced to stupidly overhunt them like people tend to do in the Mire - I had naff all chance of landing a light shot on them. If I was in a party synced slightly higher (but still getting decent exp) - I could sleep them pretty reliably. It's the old IT++ mentality that plagues places like the Dunes that creeps back in for Impy levels.

If your party is killing fast enough and your healer never /rests, I suppose you could use warlocks roll to increase your magic acc, which in turn lowers resist rates.
