Even if you could afford mkris, why would you sub it? Mkris/Joy is marginally better than Joy/Mkris
As /NIN you should be wielding a staff and grip because you are pulling and light or wind staff will make your job much easier.
That's in meripo of course.
/NIN is not a bad sub for some other tasks like Nyzul where having shadows and sneak/invisi go a long way. In that case, single wielding a Joytoy will be better TP gain than Joytoy combine with any other sword. Joy/M kris will be better than joy alone but slower than M kris alone. But the differences aren't worth an M kris price of you ask me.

If for whatever reason you reallllly need to go COR/NIN with a multihit weapon and melee, the best thing to put in your sub slot is a Genin Aspis. Yes, it's uncommon.

And BTW, COR/DNC to me is far more effective in Nyzul than /NIN. Instant cast Sneak+Invisible with Spectral Jig (free too) is better than Tonko/Monomi. Most importantly, stacking Box Step on those stronger mobs (NMs, bosses, tough families) is a life saver. I don't bother coming as anything but COR/DNC any more to Nyzul.

My ooooooooooooonly problem (and it's big enough in my mind that it keeps me from using /DNC in Nyzul altogether) is that I don't have room for a spectral jig macro on my /DNC set, and I HATE having to go into the menu to use it. Petty, I know, but it's how I am.

Seriously though, and it's not my testing and I could be inaccurate, but I'm pretty sure anything without an extremely low delay actually slows the Joyeuse down to a point where you're better off using nothing at all in the off-hand slot. Nin is not a DD subjob, and you should be using it only as a crutch to your gimpness by offering to pull in parties until you have a real 'Dd-only' worthy subjob. :)

DWing will actually hurt your TP gain. So don't bother with another weapon in your sub slot. If you want to use anything get a shield of some sorts. I'd kill for that /NIN latnet one.
