I'm just curious on how the invite rate is for COR still, on average.

I only have a few days a week where I can play, and even then only 2-4 hours at a time. Just curious if the invite rate would allow me to party during those periods, and cry for my lost gil soloing worms on the shorter days. Figured I'd check before I start devoting anything to COR, since I'll only be able to solo it so much.

COR is a very good invite job. If a pt is forming, you will almost always be one of the first people invited. I've had some crazy stories about invites on COR.

One time I logged in, went afk for 3-4 minutes and had 2 invites despite not being flagged up (this was at 75).

During some event, i forget which, I dbed and flagged up to jump pts. I got an invite in the 15 seconds it took them to invite me back in.

One time I got a pt for my COR while I was on my THF >.>.

That's just a few off the top of my head. If you start a pt on COR, usually picky healers n DDs are more likely to say yes than if you were a WAR or something.

Lower lvls I'm not as sure. COR doesn't get refresh till 40+ but we still get acc/attack rolls extremely early. At lower lvls you're probably competing with the BRDs for a single pt spot as opposed to a spot alongside them. I could be wrong though, it's been ages since I lvled low lvl jobs extensively but I don't recall support x2 being a frequent setup.

The beauty of COR, beyond the fast invites, is there are very few situations/events where a COR is not extremely useful. Only thing that pops tto my mind right now is certain ZNM fights that employ a zone-fight strategy. COR is really not worth it here if anyone is constantly zoning their hate 9and therefore losing their rolls).

COR isn't a great soloer at low lvls but the game has changed so much. You can pop an emp band and fight worms just outside South Sandy (S) and rake in a ton of xp. I did that on SCH and got almost 6k an hour for several lvls. Was SCH/DNC, meleeing, casting spells as sigil refresh allowed. A COR/DNC with a gun could absolutely do that. Not too mention attack and ninja rolls would help a ton. FoV allows u to kill easy mobs and get a nice xp bonus at the end. But yeah, if I was a low lvl COR with 2-4 hours on my hands, i'd flag up, wait 10 mins and if I got nothing, I'd just go do some FoV or tear through some DCs on /DNC till someone invited me.

Disclaimer: This list is by no means accurate as of course some jobs are hybrids and can fulfil multiple roles. This is just an example

Now looking at this list. Its really stupid how people ask "hows the invite rate on this job?" Why? Just look. You can see that DD's are a dime a dozen. Some viewed better than others but overall they are just the same as each other with certain perks in certain areas.

Jobs like BRD COR and RDM are just three jobs out of twenty. Its obvious to see why a BRD COR RDM get invites ahead of some others. The same applies to NIN's and PLDs.

Remember party invites only occur when parties are actually being created. This being said you have to examine the environment around you and determine if your invite rate is determined by too much competition, not enough parties being made or some other factor.

In the end though based on just that rough educated guesswork I created im going to asume that party invites for your COR are based on party avaliability rather than job stigma.

(The stigma that stops blms and bsts from pretty much EVER getting pt invites)

Like any job it all depends on how good you are at it. If I don't get an invite within three minutes I check my connection in case I'm dc'ing, invite rates on cor are that good.
