I've been looking into trying to maximize my WS setups, both slug and detonator.
This is my current Detonator setup

Slug shot I swap in:
Crimson Finger Gauntlets
Vision or Beater's Earring dependent on sj
P. Legs

Barring ZNM and Salvage, what can I improve on, gear wise?
Also wondering about Denali Jacket vs Commodore Frac for WS purposes.
I mostly use cor for meriting, sometimes dynamis and other small group stuff.

Not much I'd change either, cept mirke and anwig if your main jobs allow you to make those selections. STR seems to be the most dominent factor on slugs and dets, despite not being a direct modifier. With that in mind, I think the STR+2 on a triumph earring might do a little better than drone's AGI+3 (though I could totally understand if you opted for drone to offset the -6 on alky).

Not sure if Smilodon's +5 STR would beat out the STR2 Ratt15 on the amemet +1. I'm guessing it would be pretty close though. You're nt at the fStr2 cap for colibris yet (neither am i, unless i use vulcans/axe strap on dets) so maybe it would be slightly better? Nothing groundbreaking or life-changing aside from anwig and mirke though.

Well he specifically ruled out Salvage gear in his post so I didn't mention that.

But a Mirke with RATT/RACC augment and Anwig with WS ACC 15, Str 4, AGI 4, WS dmg 2% will give you the highest slugshot numbers in that slot even compared to Skadi.

heh, this reminded me of the new campaign stuffs. Imagine a COR/WAR in campaign with the STR+25 neck piece ans the rattack +20 ear (heck even he rosa strap if u had vulcans and just sot for tp) lol.

I don't actually plan on getting these right away (well the rose strap for SAM and WAR i'm def going to). But the ridiculous stats would make that fun to mess with.

I didn't really pay attention to the other new pieces aside from bodies but seems like some really nice situational pieces. Croc Collar (AGI+4) would be win for quick draws when ugga isn't part of the equation. The Macc+2 ammo would be cool for BLM as would the enfeebling +2 cape.

Yeah, exactly the role I can see it filling.

on a semi-related note, re: does magic accuracy affect QD?

I haven't done extensive testing but today i accidentally hit my warlock roll mac instead of wiz roll in a BLM pt on iriz ima. Not ony that, it was lucky >.>. So I left it up to see if it would help BLMs land nukes after barrier tusk. Iriz hadn' used tusk yet when I spammed 2 quick QDs and both were partial resists. Later, on the same Iriz when I'd gotten wizards roll up and redid evokers to wipe warlocks... completely unresisted QDs (again, no barrier tusk in either situation).

I obviously am not going to rule out Macc on QD based on a few instances, but to this point I've seen nothing that suggests Macc helps us in any way. Anyone else have any observations?
