Clearly Steel Bullet Pouches are dropping from campaign at rates that outstrip demand at least on Ifrit server.

Currently 37 pouches for sale and the price has fallen to 10k/pouch. I expect it will fall further in the next week as people are still doing tons of campaign. Unfortunately it kills the market for some alchemists, but there obviously wasn't a big market for steel bullets anyway.

I guess whether the price will get so low it will kill the brass bullet and iron bullet market. If it drives those prices down by comparison, it will be hard to make a profit. Low level COR's still need those bullets but higher level COR's will be just as well off shooting COR and Steel bullets for farming and pulling and the like.

It's going to be an interesting couple weeks to see where these things go. I also see the pixie weapon prices falling pretty soon since the mats to make them are dropping in price as 30-50 of them enter the AH at a time from campaign. Still won't make the Fane Hexagun worth it, but I'm interested in the RDM sword and RNG Bow.

The nerf to djinn ash drop rate pretty much killed the profit margin on steel bullets for alchemists anyway. I leveled alch to craft my own bullets to keep costs down and I was stressing the drop rate change.

I am really really glad pouches drop from campaign because if they didn't the price would have gone up due to the difficulty in getting firesand made at a reasonable rate. Either that or alchemists wouldn't have even bothered crafting them due to the lack of available mats.

I got lucky and some numskull put a corsair bullet pouch up for really low...i wish I would have started lower, but I got one for 5k!

lol

Our steel bullet pouches are still 20k/ea and un-pouched steel bullets are still holding steady at 18k/ea, but I was able to get some pouches for 15k and 16k, so hopefully they will go down now as your average player who picks one up in campaign will always be happy to undercut their fellow profit-maker to get a faster sale. =D

I regretted not having more than 100k to stock up on ammo while the prices were seemingly low, and it was the first time in awhile I nearly broke myself(down to 10k) just for ammo. =D

How many are up for sale on Seraph? On Ifrit there is over 30 pouches (previously there was never more than 3-6 pouches for sale at a time).

Unless the COR's on Ifrit start to shoot more or horde cheap bullets, the price si going to come down. Most COR's either /WHM and support or /NIN and pull on Ifrit. I'm usually only firing steel for WS's but if the price keeps falling I know I'll be shooting a lot more.

Hexagun steel bullet spam ftw?

24 pouches of steel bullets up on the AH still. Yesterday it was around 15~18. :P

See, previously what the crafters do is let the AH go empty so demand stays reasonably high. There use to be one day a week, sometimes stretching to 2 1/2 or 3 days where there would be no steel bullets up on the AH. I do have a friend with enough alchemy and smithing to synth my ammo but he's not always on and I hate to bug him every single time I pick up some pocket change, so hopefully these lower prices will make life just a little easier for us.

As do Spartan Bullets and Kabura Quivers. Look to see all those prices fall if this degree of campaign activity keeps up.

What I suspect will happen: The price gouging for pixie weapon drops will carry on a litte longer, prices on the crafting items will fall, weapon prices will fall, Unions will be less profitable, players will return to other profit making ventures, fewer will be doing campaign, fewer union drops, prices will rise, rinse and repeat until a new equilibrium is established.

It's kind of fun to see what happens to an economy when a whole new game mechanic like this happens. Probably will take a few weeks to even out since there are a few other drivers for campaign other than union goods and pixie weapons (people gaining rank for campaign body pieces for instance). Persoanlly while I'm enjoying the price drops on steel bullets, I'm annoyed at how hard it si to get decent xp in campaign these days. Way too crowded.

Indeed. On Shiva there have been very few Imp Wootz Ingots on the market since the update since all the smithies have been jumping on the Pixie Weapon sything banwagon (until this weekend it was a much better profit margin).

Although this drives the price higher on the ingots....another 1.2 mil to farm to finish skadi body.

Corsair bullet pouches are currently 9K on Lakshmi. In the rare cases I shoot for TP I use Iron, because like most servers Steel are 20K a pouch here.

I'm very much looking forward to another week of Campaign and hoping Corsair bullets drop to the same price, or maybe even cheaper(?!?) than Iron!

Corsairs bullets are still 25k on Ifrit but there is far more on the server than ever before. I suspect prices will start dropping soon. Steel bullets are 10k on Ifrit and iron bullets at 9k and regular bullets are 8k. Won't be long before I'll be farming with steel if they drop below regular bullet prices.

With a supply that large you could probably force the issue by getting some pouches and severely undercutting. Say they are at 15k, put a bunch up at 8k. The price won't rebound upwards because the supply is too great, and even at low bullet prices Corsairs aren't going to suddenly buy 5x as many pouches.

Actually yeah, Corsair Bullets are good TP and WS ammo 57+ (especially since steel are too **** expensive to casually use these days) so if they're cheaper you can guarantee Cors will buy em up. I know I am.

Just slightly better than ironl, and for a long long time will be more in stock than iron is at least on phoenix lately.

On a somewhat related topic;

One thing I would really like for SE to do is to make a new kind of campaign-only bullet. It would be readily available for purchase from each of the 3 towns and also from supply NPC's on the campaign battlefield, and would be reasonably priced in allied notes. You would be able to retain the bullets in your inventory outside of campaign, but would only be able to equip them during campaign while you have allied tags.

As a Corsair, I love to shoot. If I'm not blasting something in the eye, I'm just not happy. But the thought of firing iron or steel bullets in campaign makes me sad - and I'm not the kind of COR that is content to melee only.

Maybe a bullet like this:
Gold bullet
Dmg 50 delay 240
Campaign:
Dmg 90 delay 240
"recycle" 100%

I'd get a stack of those just for campaign.

If it was 100% recycle, you would only need bullet for campaign. Well...I guess 4 if you want to Barrage.

True. Except for those times the campaign battle ends just as you hit your RA macro.

I'm very pleased that they added these to union drops. Would still like to have access to silver bullets, yeah, but I'll take cheap steel pouches as a consolation prize.

Just slightly better? 2 more damage and +25 Racc is a lot more than 'slightly' in my opinion. XD

On Odin server the price of Steels has drop from ~16k/stack (and hard to get at that) down to a fairly steady 8k/stack. Corsairs have dropped from ridiculous prices also down to roughly 8-9k per stack.

As both a Corsair and not-an-alchemist, this makes me incredibly happy. I've begun shooting steel almost exclusively rather than trying to compromise on price by TPing with standard bullets. And as someone who is never content to melee TP, mostly just from not owning a multi-hit weapon, this is a great boost in my damage overall.

On another note. Access to Silvers would almost be too sexy, wouldn't it?

Well it looks like on Ifrit the price on Steels has bottomed out around 7k/pouch.

Now that's a far more reasonable price for this bullet. unfortunately the price depends on the amount of people doing campaign and that hasn't really lessened a whole lot. It's still very busy 24/7, so i think these prices will hold for a good while. I'm stocking up nonetheless lol.

Suprisingly on Ifrit the COR bullet price has remained at 20k a stack as people are buying them at that price. While they are a very good option for mid-level COR's with an M Kris. I'm not sure I'd shoot a 20k/stack bullet fulltime.
