They are an excellent leg armor. I love mine and use them for everything except walking on COR, as well as SA, TA, and WSs on thf.

They do however fetch a nice sum selling them, so if you are in need of other big ticket gears, you may want to sell and invest there. All kinda depends on your current equips and what you personally use your COR most for. But there are not too many other armors that are great for TP (ranged or melee), WS, and even QD.

I used to have - movement speed, but then I downloaded spellcast and created XMLs for everything FFXI and bam, I have never been slowed by - movement again.

Considering the amount of gear swaps that a COR needs for ever different action (very little carryover between RA, Melee, and QD), I am unsure how people get by with out using spellcast on an endgame well equipped COR.

They are not just for TP though. They are for TP, RA, WS and QD (if denali ever drop for me i will swap to those for legs, just no luck with legs :( )

These are terrible for TPing in. I'd use the dusk trousers over these for melee TP as well, but oily is the best choice out of the three.

Ok since we're discussing leg slot, educate me on a better list for melee tp:

Oily> Cobra> Denali> Prince's>

shooting tp:

Dusk trousers>all

And I still think overall Toreador's > Oily unless I guess you really only play cor.

i use dusk myself, but im in a situation where a pair of these could wind up in my lap.

If it was up to me i would sell them for 2.5mil and invest that gil elseware.

Then again im the /rng Shoot for TP typa COR. I know, i know its not TP efficient, but hell its the way i love to play COR and im gonna continue that way until it gets dull (still hasnt).

So for me Dusk is > all.

My opinion, like so many other peices of badass gear in this game, not worth the effort, better places to spend my time / gil.

If i were gonna /nin and shoot (which i doubt i would ever do) that would be the gear.

if i was /rng with that gear pull out the Genin for a Beater's Earring (which i do have), and thats pretty much it. I guess if i could hit the mobs aright with ranged shots i would probably keep the joyeuse on, if not probably go for the Phantom Fleuret.

also i really want that helmet, if nothing else than to show up at a pt shooting and having a quadav head!
