So I was looking through the Jeuno AH on Fenrir to see how the new Paktong Bullet would affect the price of dice in Nashmau. Sorry, bad joke.

Anyway!

It appears that these bullets don't even stack! I only see a single Paktong Bullet on the list. Not a stack, not a quiver, but a single bullet. Is this a mistake?

I was hoping this bullet would be affordable since I'd love to LV COR ._.; It's great in and out of Ballista!

Items don't show up on the Auction house until they are put up for sale. What probably happened is someone only sold 1 bullet. Then again, I have no idea.

Not a mistake, it just means a stack has never been put up for sale yet.

Can't be quivered either.

Oh that's a relief...kinda. Are these bullets expensive to make? Will they make leveling COR cheaper? I sure hope so! But my gut tells me it won't help lower the cost much ;[

It's a pointless bullet since paktong ingots are a gobbie bag quest item.

THat means the price of ingots will remain artificially high and the price of a stack of bullets will cost a mint. Keeping a few around to macro in for QD prior to iron bullets would be their best use, but I can't see the vanadiel population endorsing and crafting these.

You can't get most COR to even shoot regular bullets these days.

I'm more interested in the tin bullets since they seem like a very cheap crafting item and good for pulls and farming.

Until they release a bullet better than steel and with cheaper materials, corsairs will always be expensive

Yes but at least a steel bullet is a substantial upgrade over iron.

A Paktong bullet is 4 damage over a regular bullet.
A steel ingot goes for ~5k on my server. A Paktong ingot goes for about 6k. A steel bullet is a level 50ish Alchemy synth and a paktong bullet is a level 70ish Alchemy synth.

So unless you are a high level alchemist and farm the kopparnickel ores yourself, you aren't going to be using these bullets much. No one will buy them for 20k a stack and no one will make them if no one buys them. Better off just selling the ingots for profit to gobbie bag questers.

Personally, I think they screwed this up, and if it were up to me, I would have done the recipes this way:

Mythril Bullet - Level 35 (50 Damage, 240 delay)
Paktong Bullet - Level 72 (77 Damage, 240 delay)

Keeps the recipes in line with current existing recipes, keeps the RNGs happy that they still have the strongest bullet in the game 20 levels earlier, and actually makes sense for progression.

I am almost able to HQ Paktong Bullets myself, I was going for HQing only regular Bullets and then the Steel Bullets when the time came (my COR is only levle 37 till I can HQ my own bullets) but now I have another thing to go for, I can soon HQ fairly consistently my own Paktong Bullets till I can use Iron Bullets. The fact that we can't put them into Bags is offset by the new Mog Satchels. I can simply haul over the ingredients and make a few Paktong Bullets on the spot if I actually run out of bullets.

Thanks, SE! Now make it possible to put them into bags, so I can actually profit off these.
