A little AdviceFollow

Ok before I start thanks in advanced for advice.

Hi Im gonna be taking Corsair to 75 and pretty much I want to decide what to use for endgame type bodies and what to WS VS. QD in...I've narrowed it down to 4 choices because those are the most realistic pieces I'm able to get ahold of atm. (My playing stlye as corsair is mainly a DD)


1.Lv 75 - Denali Jacket - DEF: 43, HP +25, AGI +10, Att +9, Raat +9, "Subtle Blow" +3, Set: Increases Accuracy (I have the whole set)


2.Mirke Waldecors
Def 42 Hp+10 Mp+10 Str+5 Dex+5 Agi+5
Mnk/Thf/Bst/Rng/Nin/Blu/Cor/Pup/Dnc
Ranged Attack+10
Ranged acc+10

or

Magic attack+4
Quick draw Delay -5


3.Lv 69 - Blue Cotehardie +1 - DEF: 44, STR +5, AGI +5, DEX +4, VIT -3, Converts 50 HP to MP


4.Lv 74 - Commodore Frac - DEF: 45, STR +3, Acc +8, Raat +8, Enhances "Random Deal" effect (No limbus access yet so +1 is not an option)



Also dont know if itll help but ill be useing these weapons:
Lv 72 - Martial Gun - DMG: 39, Delay: 612, TP Bonus
Lv 72 - Peacemaker - DMG: 13, Delay: 270, AGI +5, Emnity -2
Lv 70 - Joyeuse - DMG: 35, Delay: 224, Occasionally attacks twice

This was a very heated topic the last few weeks, but I still stick with my original stance.

WS in Denali/BC+1
QD in Mirke.

Mirke would be slighter better for WS but there are zero bodies that can match the augments of Mirke tailored for Quick Draw.

You're gonna want three bodies.

1. Melee body, for accuracy so you can build TP with Joyeuse. Enkidu's, Pahluwan, even Scorp Harness are common choices here. Or a Mirke with melee stats that might transfer over nicely to other jobs. I'm not sure whether full Denali for the set Acc bonus is worthwhile, but I think I've seen some discussion of that here.

2. R.Acc/R.Atk body for /ra and WS. Denali could work here, as could a R.Acc/R.Atk augmented Mirke.

3. Quick Draw body - this would be situational, like for HNMs where your only damage would be coming from QD. You'd want a lot of AGI on this piece. Denali is very good, or the unique QD specialized piece of a Mirke with MAB and QD delay reduction is probably the ultimate QD piece (though not very versatile).

The thing is... although a QD Mirke is no doubt the winner for the QD-only situation, Denali is still **** good. And you could use the Mirke for other things - an excellent /ra and WS body, or an excellent melee body that transfers well to other jobs. That's why it's a bit up to your style. I personally don't do enough things where I'm QD damage only to want the super-QD Mirke, I'd be plenty happy with Denali. But then again, you might be different in your endgame roles and events.

Since you said you don't have Limbus access, you don't have access to the excellent AF+1 for WS and /ra... so maybe a substitute for that would suit you well.

Hmmm what if I just made the Mirge War: Ranged acc+10 and Store tp+4 Stuble blow +4 to melee in then just QD/ws in denali?

Meh im all confused Im gonna check that other forum out in the meantime

you would not want to melee in a piece that is Ranged Acc +10. Use Commodore's Frac, SH, or Skadi instead.

Also Store TP is not as beneficial unless it nets you on an X-hit Number. I believe Carrilei cruched the number and found that to be 6 Store TP for both Joyeuse and Martial Gun.

Hands down the best WS/ranged piece for COR is mirke with RACC and RATT +10 modifiers. Beats Skadi, BC+1, Denali, AF2+1. Beats Kyudogi, Archer Jupon for RNG but not quite Kirin's Osode.

Basically a ranged Hauby. Since I'm going to have both RNG and COR at 75, I'll opt for RACC and RATT so it works for both jobs. If I was pure RNG I'd go RATT and snapshot augments and if I was pure COR I'd go RATT and QD delay.
But I want more versatility from the piece and RACC and RATT will give that to me.

Depending on your other gear, and whether or not you've capped fSTR2 (on Detonator only, most likely), you could also make a QD Mirke and WS in that. It gives 5 STR and 5 AGI, exactly like a Blue Cotehardie +1.

If you've already capped fSTR2, though, you should probably use Denali for Detonator.

SJ and food have such a significant influence, there's no clear-cut best thing to Slug or Det in (even as a default).. What may make Skadi's Cuirie or AF+1 great in one instance, may be inferior to HQ Blue Cotehardie/Enkidu's in another... Which may, in another, not be as good as Denali Jacket.

Commodore Frac.. I personally don't really see a place for it outside of a Random Deal macro - actually just got mine tonight, lol. For someone who goes /Rng with sushi as their standard playstyle.. I could see it being rather good for Slug Shot.

Full Denali for melee TP, imo, badly compromises Haste, and while the Acc is decent.. Making it viable, you can get significantly more Acc with superior gear, so even the Acc ceiling isn't too good. I wouldn't specifically target full Denali, but if it's the best you have, nothing to be ashamed of either.

Um, on Store TP, this is what I have:

Speaking of bodies, one 'new' piece of info I recently found out, is that the +25 Att & Raat enchantment on the Hydra Harness only lasts 5 minutes.. So, the value of that piece fell off a cliff there, unfortunately.

I think it does take 6 to go from a 16 hit to a 15 hit, though.

I see ^^;, I can't think strait anyway atm, 3:30 am and was just mpk'd by this trash LS Templar on Ga'Lhu Nevermolt.. Biggest bunch of douchebags I've come across in XI, ever. First time I've actually had something like that happen.
