Yeah yeah yeah

I'm sure these has been asked before, possibly countless times but... Imma ask it again lol.

Trying to figure out how I can force proc this for QD set on /non mage. I read Carrilei's magical booty post and saw the whole "51% on *visible* equipment" thing. That's where the problem lies.

First off, I have 5 MP merits. So assuming /war or /rng or /dnc or anything, I have 50 mp while in my melee tp set.

So, if I understand correctly, my elem QD set not only needs to put my max MP at 100, it needs to do so only through visible gear. Getting to 100 isn't the issue. I have crimson hands, legs and feet for starters that should get me there. HOWEVER, if i'm wearing crimson legs, I'm not wearing denali kecks and I'm semi-reluctant to remove one of my few MAB pieces from a QD elem MAB set. I also don't want to lose AF+1 hat and I kinda like Denali Jacket's AGI+10. I apparently can't keep all three of them though as it stands.

I guess I could try find different hand/feet pieces that total 50+ MP and just try it on those 2 spots alone. Or I could possibly remove an MP merit or two and make this easy.

What's the best way to do this?

Eh I'm all confused now. Maybe thinking of this the wrong way. Let's say I did have 50 mp and my QD set brought my visible eq MP to 100..... and lets say i had evokers on me.. it'd be worthless within seconds. Just don't see this as being viable as /non mage. If it is and someone can really explain it, go for it. As fo now, i'm not really seeing it.

Do i need to be thinking more in the line of a macro with physical earrings to wipe out my MP, then re-equip my QD stuff to make it happen? And what's the record for most times a person replies to his own thread before someone else does? lol Just really tryna wrap my brain around this.

Lol yeah you should have just edited.

Seems to me that the easiest way would be to macro in physical earrings and then swap back to moldy and drone. Your wording is kind of confusing to me. Needs more rum Smiley: boozing

Yeah,

To quote one of my fave commercials.... I wasn't thinking with my dipstick >.>

Haven't dealt with forcing my MP down for a specific purpose before and also forgot about -MP gear. Camped Stropers for Sheidl pendant (-20 mp).. went 1/26 ><. Ugh! The last mob I had time for before work dropped it. So I figure I hit a macro for that, drops me to 30 MP. Hit my QD macro (which would boost me up to 70) and I'm probably set. Gotta try it out when I get home.

I haven't used the uggy yet, but i would think get rid of the denali for a blue cotehardie, i think its a convert 40 hp to mp with 4 agi. agi just increases accuracy, not damage i think. edit: if im understanding how this works all right.

Do not gimp gear to force Ugg, still use your denalli.

I use 2 physical earrings and a shield pendant and macro out any +mp gear. I have full mp merits and this helps me stay below 50%mp for a period of time even with evokers up.

Right, AGI only affects acc. But from what I've read, HP > MP gear doesn't activate Ugly Pendant.

Yeah, I got this working ok. Convert HP to MP doesn't work. But basically shield pendant forces my MP down to 30, my QD set (including AF +1 hat, denali body, denali kecks) pushes it up to 85 (Crimson hands, feet) and I'm set.
