I didn't say I have no friends, I said my -well geared- friends are on a break or playing very infrequently right now. Also, when I spoke of offering alternatives I was referring to you, and funny, I don't see you offering any advice on specific pieces other than to point me to Saevel who was not answering the question I asked though I do appreciate you listed stats in priority order.

As for a soapbox... I didn't barge into your thread asking advice on how to build an empy saying "oh it's too hard." You did come into my thread asking a very specific question (which wasn't 'is getting an empy difficult?') and berated me for not being interested in making one. I don't think it is unreasonable to wish that folks would actually answer the ACTUAL question I had - which was - out of X events, what are some pieces of gear worth chasing after?

I also don't think getting an empy is hard. It's boring and time consuming. There -is- a difference. I am very sorry if the way I like to spend my in game time (and the way I don't like to spend my in game time) offends you, but it's a game, not a job.

After seeing a good number of my friends quit the game shortly after getting theirs, I don't see getting one as a way to making the game more enjoyable... I see it as a grindy time sink that burns people right out. Given that:

a) I don't actually need one to play the game, especially the content I am interested in
b) There is a lot of things I'd rather do
c) There is plenty I can do that would improve my character without making one
d) there is likely to be another super weapon set introduced with the new expansion, which may have a better sword anyway
e) I play more than one job, and out of the jobs I have BLU is not the one that needs an empy the most if I was going to make one
