Has anyone tried making one of the elemental status swords?
For instance, the earth sword with Additional Effect: Weakens Def. +15.
On paper, it seems like it'd make a great offhand, since it'd enhance damage for both melee and physical spells. In practice, that would depend on the proc rate, the potency of the effect, and whether or not it stacks with our def-down spells like Benthic Typhoon.
So, long story short, has anyone actually tried making one of these to confirm the potency and/or proc rate of the effect?

If i'm remembering correctly, the way these weapons work is as follows. The add effect +x means that "x" is the % the effect gives to the mob. So add effect weaken def+15 is mob defense -15%. The proc rate varies based on the lv of the mob vs your lv, scaling to lower % the higher the mob is over you.
Only 1 of a status debuff with the same name can be put on a mob at the same time, with the stronger effect usually overwriting the weaker. Since both the weapon and benthic give the mob "defense down" status, they do not stack, and the stronger on will be on the mob.
So whether you think the added 5% def down is worth it is based on your situation. If you're talking zerg, then angon does better. In a prolonged fight like VW, this could certainly have its uses.

The problem is the proc rate is based on delay and the sh*t never goes off when you dual wield. At least that's how they worked at 90, I haven't bothered since.
