The good news for you is that years of careful testing have proven that your likelihood to learn a spell increases exponentially after you complain about how hard it is to learn said spell, whether its on a forum, to your linkshell, in an angry e-mail to SE, etc.
Hang in there; as long as you have the magic skill, you'll get it eventually. That spell probably seems much worse than it actually is because low level trees are so few and far between and take forever to find, especially if you don't go 1/1. Pinecomb Bomb wasn't so bad for me. I think I went 1/1 or 1/2. Frenetic Rip is what killed me.
Just wait until you get to the ToAU spells. For some reason SE decided that it would be a really cute idea to make it so imps, lamia, qutrub, etc will not use certain moves until after you break the weapons they are holding (usually by dealing critical damage). Obviously, the only way this idea could get any cooler is if they just happened to make these moves the ones that BLUs get the privilege of trying to learn. So, that's what they did.
For instance, an imp will only use Frenetic Rip after he drops his horn, which as an astronomically small, in my experience... chance of happening when you deal critical damage. The really fun part is that the imp can and will pull a new horn out of his ass, sometimes without even using the move, meaning you have to make him drop it, again.
Needless to say, I'm a bit bitter about this spell. Not only did I hardly ever see it, I went 0/30+ on the imps that did use it.
