BLU SPELL WishlistFollow

Hi all,
As we recently got our new spells from the recent update to 80. I came up with one or two spells I wish for BLU to have without it being to broken for the next update. Re-Raise I or II (if we get this at later levels) and a multi-hit slashing damage attack spell. Hopefully, rivaling or trumping Diseverment. Not sure what mobs if any out there (beside the one at sea the does an auto re-raise) can be used to get this spell. What spells you think should be added for the next update if any.

Maybe one of the new spells for the next level increase could be that stoneskin/phalanx combo from Wivres.

That's the list of spells that I would like to be able to learn off of enemies that already exist. For spells that I would like that don't exist, or rather spell effects...

I would really like a raise spell, not being able to raise people yet being a spellcaster capable of healing can be a bit annoying. R1 is fine.

I'd like to get our own form of snk/inv, but the only way I see this is from killing chigoes (based on their untargetable status).

Raise would be cool, but all the poor pixie deaths that would be incoming make me sadface.

because the melee rdm's of the world don't hate us enough...

phalanx, and a single target stoneskin that's as strong as diamondhide or stronger

I'd rather like the "classics" back...

Aqua Breath - 75% HP conal Breath attack.
Goblin Punch - Wildly varying damage for little MP cost (Sounds infeasible, but maybe from Abyssea goblins in a future expansion...)
Matra Magic - AoE version of Death Ray. Useless but pretty.
Mighty Guard - Phalanxga, reducing damage by (Blue Magic Skill/15)
White Wind - AoE cure, healing HP equal to Blue Magic Skill.
Angel Whisper - Raises a dead target, or Reraises self.

The NM Weapon in Ro'Meave that SMN's camp for Yingyang Robe. It walks around Ro'Meave invisible with some kind of speed enhancement on too moves like a chocobo. You pop him with magic agro. Just the 1st thought that came to me for that type of spell.

OH, how about changing how blu physical spells factor in for dmg, like you know, ACTUALLY count "blu" buffs into physical dmg calculations. Freaking SE.
Cause being able to only do 1500 disseverment at CB or on DC-EM is SOOOOO important in this game.....

The only mob I can think of that has native sneak/invis is Shikigami Weapon. No mob has ever cast raise on another so I don't see it happening, as for reraise they could use that bracelet move from Aerns.

Well to be honest I always found it weird that Magic Pots had Battery Charge seeing as most mobs have thousands if not tens of thousands of MP that they'll virtually never run out. Even a lvl 17 Goblin Tinkerer must have like around 3-6,000 MP because I used it as a Aspir Battery while PLing a friend for a good 15~20 min.

This is probably the 400th time this thread has been made, but I never get sick of it.
Honestly, by time 99 comes around, I kind of hope Blu has 200 spells at least. It's not going to happen, but I like trying to be optimistic for these things. On the other hand, we could still get 200 spells, and be stuck at 55(60) set points at 99 >_>;

But it has to be a TP based move in order for Blus to learn it, what mob will use Invis/Sneak to do anything other then run away. Maybe if it was a copy of Camouflage or Hide I could see it happening, but there is no combat advantage for a TP based Sneak spell.

There is a campaign nm that does this already, but dfoesn't show the JA. He's quite annoying, he disappears, then hits you with a Sneak Attack type hit. If he gets you from behind, it can easily do over 1k.

If they designed another monster with a similar ability, a THF that attacked you from behind, but used an actual JA instead, I could see them adapting that to a full sneak/invis instead of the Hide ability it has for the monster(For example, battery charge does refresh for us but just gives mp to the monster).

Raise to me would be hard if not impossible, but I could see reraise happening in a similar fashion, make a JA for a new monster that does RR.

Ooo Count me in for another vote for Bloody Claw. I was jealous of it the moment I first saw it.

(And the obligatory Asuran Claws Buff request..)

Beyond that hm... Raise I suppose. Giving us Refresh, Regen 2 and full powered haste topped my wish list before.

I would like a more useful/better stoneskin or cocoon that lasted longer than a minute.

TP Drainkiss would honestly be huge even if it only drained about 40-50tp.
Would love a Raise but not sure if it would be possible since not a tp move.

More spell points or lower the set cost or mp cost of existing spells ie Bad Breath and 1000 Needles to say 100mp. (I know yeah right)

Buff Asuran Claws. (Yeah right again.)

Last but not least....... Allow our spells to give us tp. (Super yeah right)

I wouldn't mind an Amnesia spell, might make Rdm jealous if their Addle spell is Amnesia.

Mobs that use it that we don't already know a spell off of:
Eerie Eye (Cait Sith) - Gaze Amnesia + Silence
Lightning Spear (Monoceros) - Cone Attack + Amnesia
Flowerpot (Moogle) - Attack + Blind + Stun + Amnesia
Washtub (Moogle) - AoE Damage + Bind + Stun + Amnesia
Lethe Arrows (Pixie) - Ranged Attack Knockback + Bind + Amnesia
Winds of Oblivion (Promathia) - AoE Amnesia
Choke Chain (Rampart) - Bind + Silence + Amnesia

Best bet probably be Lethe Arrows, or even Choke Chain, but I'd like something like Flowerpot even if I had to redo MKdE several times in chance to get it.

Also want to see Angel Whisper. Be funny if to learn this a new type of Pixie will use this instead of Raise on a dead party member (long cast time so could get claim to be able to "see" it), then sadly party must take down Pixie for Blu to learn it. Or if it was hate based, where they could use it to raise Fallen Pixie to aid in battle that will aid it in battle. Be kinda nice if it used Angel Whisper on a KO Blu and there was a chance the Blu could learn it upon accepting.

Also since the beginning of Blu and I learned Metallic Body I was hoping it was gonna be instant cast like the crabs, but as I reached level it was nothing but. Idk, I'd be happy with another single target Stoneskin, be nice if it had a quicker cast and recast, but this is a wishlist right? :)

I'd like to see maybe a decent ranged damage + gravity type attack, and something with really heavy knockback, along the lines of empty seed or that thing that puks do. Bind afterwards would make it really sweet. xD

As I listed above, I think Lethe Arrows would cover all of that except replacing Gravity with Amnesia.
