Whee!!!! Disseverment, actinic burst and reactor cool mine! Soloed Disseverment, and bugged people till got a little help for the other two. Those pots were a breeze with elegy, march and ballad 2 ^_^. Plasma charge and vertical cleave left (no problem killing the mobs, but I'm 0/a lot on learning them >.>). And then on to the past.

It really is more of an accomplishment for BLU rather than something on it's own. I got NIN to 49 this afternoon, now working on THF. God, I hate NIN.

Disseverment, Temporal Shift, Saline Coat and Radiant Breath: O

Got Khanda with Occ. atk. 2-3 times, very pleased. Also got the MACC Shamshir, I should probably test MACC and its effects on blue spells now with this, so I might in the coming weeks.

Went from 15k into 76 to 80 with capped exp on BLU tonight all thanks to Abyssea. Majorly epic alliance meripo.
Even got 10 merits afterward, pretty hot for a near 7 hour run and generous time extensions lol.

And learned Senguine Blade apparently cause of Suppa and merits on sword.

Soloed Sub-Zero Smash on BLU, having BLU 80 I took a couple D/C Ruszor and it actually did the move even though I faced the mob (I did manage a few attempts to sleep and attack from behind with Frentic Rip). It was the last spell I needed, despite having all the new spells already.

Not a big accomplishment, but went 80BLU/40WHM to Salvage - Zhayolm Remnants for a 6 man boss run. Was trivially easy to keep my targets alive and hasted. We were BLU (me), THF, MNK, MNK, COR, and RDM. It was kind of a dry run to see how my BLU did in the healing/support role, which would free the RDM up to go BRD in future runs. With Battery Charge, Mirage Jubbah, Balharan's Ring, Auto-Refresh trait, and Sanction refresh, my MP never dropped below 600 (after Max MP was unlocked of course). I did get Evoker's Roll occasionally from the COR, but he was focused more on the melee, and of course I was splitting duties with the RDM, so if I was solo healer I'd probably would have had to be more conservative (I was wasting a lot of MP using Plenilune Embrace to buff the MNKs).

Against the boss, Shell IV (from the RDM) + Magus Roll w/ BLU in party = Discoid not being able to even break my Diamondhide. The RDM got so bored, she started meleeing* with her staff just to see if I could keep everyone alive, unparalyzed and hasted -- which I could. Of course, Discoid is pretty much the least dangerous chariot boss move, so I'm not sure how this would do in other settings.

I had Auto Refresh, Fast Cast, and Conserve MP set, as well as Wild Carrot, Magic Fruit, Plenilune Embrace, and Healing Breeze (a little duplication with what I got from /WHM, but BLU cures are a little more MP efficient), as well as Diamondhide and Animating Wail, with Regurgitation and Regeneration to fill in the last few points and give a minor MND boost (in retrospect I should have gone with the Frightful Roar version of Auto Refresh, but I wasn't sure how much time I would be spending near melee range, so I played it conservatively; in the future it'll be set).

So anyway, something fun and different to do, and gives me a chance to use BLU more.

*Yes, I know RDM doesn't have staff skill, and so did she; she just never remembers to bring a sword with her and was just doing it to be silly.

5/5 assimilation is a no brainer. Enchainment vs. the JAs comes down do a few things you need to consider.

Will you miss the ability to give your self-target buffs to others, even if it is only every 20 minutes?

Do you find yourself in situations where you really wish you had something to boost your magical spells or MP drainkiss, but only once every 10 minutes?

Do you use CA with frenetic rip or vertical cleave more often than disseverment?


Personally, when I merited blu, I only had blu and brd and I went 1 diffusion, 4 convergence. I now have rdm leveled and very little need to ever need convergence, and even though it's nice, once every 10 minutes isn't really that big of a deal. Vertical cleave is TP starved and I've found myself using it and frenetic rip with CA more than I used to. Basically, I'd prefer the enchainment merits with the way I play anymore. Although, a big mind blast on fafnir or heat breath on ultima tends to makes blms feel bad about themselves, so that's always nice.

Good week, finished AF3+1 hands and body, got AF2+2 body, and skilled my blue magic to 398(before merits/equip) in roughly 10h doing worm parties, sadly no TH belt popped on my watch :(

Expacion and Sanus Sensis mine! Gonna be my mainhand until Almace/STR sword are completed :P

Got all my dynamis spell set and abyssea procs, sitting at around 70ish spells on 149, going 1/1 or 1/3 most of the time with 460 skills ^^
