The Return to completeness (That's right....I'm back!)
Yep, as I said, I'm finally 100/100, complete, yet again. As you all know, for me, there's just no other way to be. Complete is just what I'm about. After the day before yesterday, I only needed two more spells. Low and behold, I get them completely unplanned for.
Sometimes, it just helps to be helpful. My friend Myriads (the only person I know that's soloed his whole Blu career.....lvl 1-71 thus far), needed help with some COP mission stuff. So, I pitched in to help out. Afterwards, we kinda spoke briefly on Blu spells and such, and I expressed the spells I was still missing. He made mention of possibly going hunting after the missions, but, we didn't speak too much on it. Well, what luck, he decided to go through with it.
Well, on this journey (speaking of mine inparticular), I must mention a very familiar name you guys must of heard me say a lot, because she's been in most of my hunts all the time. My friend Ulicia (AKA: Deathpain) comes to help out once again (Thank You).
Mind Blast - Well, we decided to use the new staging point (Nyzul Isle or something like that). This is my first time using the portal since I unlocked it, so, forgive me for not being able to speak on it well. I think it was the NE warp first, then, take the Blue warp on your left, afterwards. If that's wrong, forgive me. I just don't know it by heart at all. Where ever it is, the Soulflayers that you want to fight, are right near the zone as you exit. Also, you don't need to go through a NPC to go outside either. If you have to go through a NPC, then, you've gone the wrong way. I almost took that exit on mistake. If you do, you'll need to pay him one Imp. Silver Coin to get back in. Luckily, I avoided this situation.
Anyway, we had 9 people with us I think it was (Blu, Blu, Blu, Blu, Blu, Pld, Mnk, Thf, Whm). They weren't bad at all (probably due to the amount of people we had). It only took a few kills for everyone to learn (AF hands going to work today). I think, all in all, it was about 5 or 6 pulls. With that many Blu involved, I mean, how big of a threat could they really be? Head-butts being spammed like mad, and a whm to erase/~na all those crazy effects it gives everyone. Be forewarned though, on our very first pull, we were hit with something I'd never seen before.....INSTANT Sleepga. THAT was crazy. Luckily, either one person didn't get put to sleep, or, the person who was hit physically, was able to wake everyone else up. Other wise, that could've turned out terribly. Not many pulls later, all 5 Blus have learned, Congratulations!
Exuviation - Well, after our first session, some people had to go back to doing the things they were previously doing, and/or had scheduled. I really wanted to go after Exuviation though, because, it was the last spell I needed. Plus, I mean, how often can you gather a good strong team for hunting big/rare/hard spells? Since I had joined one already, I wanted to make the best use of it as I could. So, I get the rest of us to agree on going after that spell as well. Since we're having these crazy connection issues, our Pld ended up DCing upon zoning. Now, we're just Mnk, Thf, Blu, Blu, Blu, Whm. Hmmmm, oh well, INCOMING, lol! Everyone's more than confident that we can take'em. I on the other hand (who's only experience fighting these ended up in death and destruction for the whole xp party each time when someone aggroed one running to camp), wasn't quite as confident just yet.
These things are NOT that hard. Don't know what you've been told before, but, I'm telling you now. With a good group, these just are NOT that difficult. One thing that can make them difficult though, is if you try to fully enfeeble them. I'm guessing that's why my parties before were just destroyed. I wasn't aware, that these get a serious boost to Exuviation, when enfeebles are on them. So, just find someone who's capable of tanking these without it being fully enfeebled, or enfeebled at all. Remember though, try to give it at least one enfeeble, so that it has a reason to actually use Exuviation. Also, try to watch it closely as well. After some move it uses, it'll start attacking with the speed of Hundred Fists. If so, feel free to give it a Flash, and a few Head Butts if you can. That can get dangerous for anyone tanking. After 2 pulls, our Mnk had to leave, and a Pld replaced. Fights were still easily done. They did use this move, more than 2 or 3 times a fight, so, no worries in that department. It was about 1:30am when I learned, and became complete once again.
I'm still dog tired after last night, since, I had to get up for work in 4hrs. (I stayed another 30min to help Myriads a bit more). Blu spell hunting is fun in its own right. As much as I love being complete, I always miss the thrill of having to go out, and learn new spells from new monsters. That in itself is quite fun. GL to all who still need these (lol, I know I'm actually late, but, I'm sure there's more out there in need).
/kneel Ulicia, Myriads, Gates, Iha, Suji, Xahn, Kale...(Pld)
{Thank You}
Blu owns! :P
