One suggestion though, for the future. SE has said that in updates following the release BLU will be able to learn more of these abilities. So once we find out whan we can learn to start, I don't think the other abilities should be actually taken off the list; they should just be listed differently, in a "not yet" way.

Allow me to suggest though that you add for each family of mobs against which mobs they are strong or weak. Acording to SE the relation between the mob from which you learn a move and the mob we are using it against will influence the strenght of the effect (or maybe even if the effect is resisted).

Given that BLUs will have only a limited amount of moves available at any time (even if they have learned all), I imagine one of the key aspects of the job will be to select the right abilities depending on the task to perform in a party (Magic Burst, enfeebling, backup healer, ¿maybe even tank?) and the enemy to face (crabs, crawlers, beastmen, etc.)

A guide like this with all the available abilities, their effects and the relationship between families of mobs will be more important for a BLU than a weaponskill chart for a melee ^^.

Magnetite cloud doesnt reset hate, thats sand trap, Magnetite cloud also has gravity effect. All in all a very nice guide.

I did a little bit of research to find out what mob family beats what to add to this thred, and here it is...

Beasts > Lizards > Vermin > Plantoids > Beasts

Aquans > Amorphs > Birds > Aquans

Demons <=> Dragons

Undead <=> Arcana

Yes, when I first made this; I did not put in many of the attacks that I thought were not going to be in there. For example, I did not want to put in any ability that was almost a carbon copy of a job ability.

I also, in the end, started to omit things that were far to common already. For example, Sheep Charge, the single target knock back. There are 17 versions of Knock-Back.

In the upcoming update of this thread, I will include ALL the mobs and ALL the abilities

As a RDM, this list will be handy for me as well. Now I have a better idea what needs to be dispeled, since we tend to stick with the familiar mobs in exp parties. I like challanges. :D

Missing abilities and other corrections:

* From Sabotenders: Needleshot. Single target, damage; either a critical (more likely) or two hits (less likely).

* From Dolls: All manner of elemental attacks which I can't remember names of. I believe there's one to each element, but I'm not sure. Also, the "Berserk" ability for Dolls is, in fact, Warcry.

* Lowest-level Doomed is Foul Meat in Gusgen Mines (43-45).

* Ice Roar, from Gigas, is only for Gigas in Xarcabard and Beaucedine.

* Heat Wave, from Bombs, does not appear outside of CoP areas, I believe. (I've never seen it from any bombs up to the low 50s in non-CoP areas.)

Hopefully these help a little.

Thornsong is Damage Spikes, not Blaze Spikes. The dragon family also gets Voidsong (dispels ALL positive effects including food).

I'm not sure if the Xarc dragons use Voidsong, but Sandy does. Bastok uses Thornsong also. I can't remember what Windy does, but I seem to remember it using something.

EDIT: I still can't remember the Windy dragon's song's name, but it's the one that adds the incremental curse that continues to lower your max HP/MP more and more as the fight goes on. [black]

Actually, the lowest level shadow that's used dimensional death on me was the doppleganger's in horutoto ruins. Of course these are nms but they spawn pretty often enough to be camped.

Actually, Berserk from Dolls is Warcry - it even says "<specific doll> uses Berserk. <specific doll> gains the effect of Warcry."

Don't ask me WHY they did it that way, but they did.

As of the recent discoveries, I will be updating this list on Thursday April 13th, in the afternoon. I will go through and weed out any skill that does not fit with a description that has been discovered.

I'll try to find Empty movelists...

So far all I found is movelist for "Wreaker" type empty. I think they're called that.

The ones that sort of look like spiders.

Negative Whirl : Damage area attack
Empty Cutter : Damage attack, one target
Trinary Absorbtion : Drain, one target
Trinary Tap : Steals 3 status effects, one target
Stygian Vapor : Area effect plague and hate reset
Shadow Spread : Area effect curse and sleep.

Now, the things missing from this are 1. what mob gives the abilities 2. where they fall in the wheel of life and 3. which ones are MBable and which ones are SCable.

This is a great start though, I've already printed mine off. I thought you might find this chart easier to work with than just blocks of text and code.
