Levelling SMN..Am i missing something?Follow

My SMN is currently 87, and honestly i love it. But my Summoning skill is about 50~, but i read that it doesn't affect attacks, only Blood Pacts correct? In Abby my pets on'y hit for 40~ ish. I'm wondering if there is anything i can do to boost this?
Normal melee attacks from Avatars really don't deal all that much damage wise. 40 damage or so from a normal, non-critical, melee attack sounds about right given your level. Since Atmas you equip also affect your Avatars, my recommendation would be to use ones like Atma of the Razed Ruin to boost the critical hit rate and critical hit damage by a significant amount. This will also affect your physical Bloodpact: Rages, since they can critical.
Summoning Magic Skill, for Bloodpact: Rages, only boosts their accuracy if you're over the natural cap. It doesn't increase physical damage, nor is your damage going to be penalized by it not being capped. Your Avatar's physical accuracy and attack right now won't be any different than if you had capped skill for your level.

You might want to work on it however; I'd suggest helping people with trials and doing Besieged as much as you can. Summoning skill doesn't affect much but it does affect your syphons and a upcoming nerf will make it so it will affect how long Alexander lasts (and EG shells will proly ask about it)
So yeah. If you don't want to get sucktastic elemental syphons and get shunned by endgame shells later, you may want to work on it. As I hinted; I recommend going to Besieged and bping a lot/two houring a lot and doing summoner staff trials and helping others with their summoner staff trials..that works for me. Oh and get the magic skillup earring and possibly look into B.E.W. pitaru; those do help you skill it.

I know i already plan on levelling Summoning Skill, i just wanted to know how much it affects. What would be a good summon to use for Aby? Everyone i see uses Garuda, but is it really that good? And for Atma i'd probably do RR, MM, and Ducal Guard(still have to get a lot of atmas) lol
It depends on what you're doing and what mob you're facing. If I'm soloing a mob that uses spells or attacks of a single element (like Sedna or Dragua) I'd use the Avatar of that element or the Avatar strong to that element. Likewise, depending on the mob, I'll use Ramuh or Shiva since I have their Merit Bloodpacts capped out, so if it's a mob I want to nuke down rather than just melee down, I may use one of them.

In addition to what Vlorsutes said, a lot of people fall back on Garuda if there's no specific elemental strength needed, because not only does she have a powerful Rage BP, but she can haste & heal herself. Leviathan can heal himself too, which for example can make him a better option than Ifrit for fire-based enemies.
Generally, fire-based = use Levi, earth-based = use Garuda, water-based = use Levi or Ramuh, wind-based = use Garuda or Shiva, ice-based = use Levi or Shiva, thunder-based = use Ramuh. Titan and Ifrit are kind of worthless, for the most part. Ifrit can be useful for fire damage sometimes, like against bombs & snolls for example, but I don't think I've ever used Titan for anything other than Earthen Ward.
If you're doing group play, another one that's very useful is Ramuh. Chaotic Strike & Shock Squall provide extremely powerful stun effects (more powerful than any stun in the game). Your group will love you for dropping a Squall here and there.

I'm in an Aby Dom Ops Altep pt, and my BP's are only hitting for about 1k on everything, is there any way to bump it up? I see some hitting for 4k, or is atma THAT big of a damage boost?
Atma is that big a damage boost.

I use RR and MM right now.
For physical BPs: Razed Ruins, Voracious Violet, Gnarled Horn, Sanguine Scythe, Stout Arm
For magical BPs: Ultimate, Beyond, Minikin Monstrosity, Hell's Guardian
Razed Ruins + Voracious Violet are the prime combo. With those two, your BPs will go into the 3-5k damage range very easily. On dolls in Altepa you should be using Chaotic Strike from Ramuh because dolls are weak to blunt and Chaotic Strike is basically a blunt-damage version of Predator Claws (three-hit, high damage potential). Edit: Also it's nice having Ramuh out for Shock Squall in case a doll tries to self destruct.
