Selling Astral Flow leech spotsFollow

Hello, I am not particularly certain how popular selling spots out is among Summoners, but to those of you whom do, I am curious as to what price you require per pull? As on my server so far I have found 4 - 5 Astral Burn statics that sell for 300,000 / pull, and quite honestly this seems a little extreme to me, so I am curious as to if this is the accepted norm among servers or if my server is simply severely overpriced. A price I would expect would be more along the lines of 100,000 - 150,000 / pull.

Thank you for any information.

our linkshell does it too, usually the cost per pull is 200k, but we do allow negotiations between leech and puller to an extent.

please keep in mind some conditions do exist
1. potential leech must use the search comment box to detail their intent and price per pull they plan on paying
2. pullers have the right to refuse any offer. for example I won't pull for anyone on my blacklist and/or anyone with RMT ties.
3. there must be open party slots available
4. results will vary per pull.
5. the best pullers are more likely to get /tells from prospective leeches.

I've had several people approach my group for 300k/pull. We don't sell spots, and probably never will since our party is pretty 'set'. It seems like that's what the buyers are willing to pay, at least on my server, and buyers control price. If people weren't willing to pay it, it wouldn't be the price.

So... how long before a disgruntled potential leech decides to ***** up the party's pulls because the price was too high? Or threaten to do precisely that in order to get a spot in the party via extortion.

Honestly, I'd have a hard time blaming them for it. Seems pretty sleazy to me to be selling leech spots in an SMN-burn party in the first place, so sticking it to the party doesn't really bother me. And S-E pretty much leaves Astral Burn parties alone to the extent that it's viewed as a legitimate manipulation of the game mechanics (they also seem to be saying that unclaimed mobs = fair game for all).

As a spectator, I'd find it kind of hilarious to see the drama unfold of an angry party-crasher ******** with a greedy LS/party trying to monopolize the zone. Some people would even say it's fair game just to mess with what's already a fairly egregious example of an "unintended" style of partying.

actually its the peeps that come calling to us looking to buy leech spots. When our best pullers are in the zone, its nothing to see 3 or 4 /tells. I now set one of my accounts as summoner (especially if we don't trust the ones that are seeking) and the other account as a red mage puller. I have also set a mule at the camp (selling hi-ethers made from the bat wing drops) with a level 19 or 20 job in case they must go to a new sync for thunderspark burning (usually occurs when there are resists, summoner deaths from mistargets, and lag that causes them to miss a Diamond Dust).

The only thing we set on the website is a minimum price cause each party is different. As such, the buyers set the price and quite often they are the ones already in an end-game shell.

Unfortunately, I won't be doing as much pulling myself after the new year, as my real life job is reverting back to 8 hour, 5 day work shifts (often 6 by the time the weather gets warmer). I won't have the days off like I do on 12 hours to dedicate myself to burning.

On Ifrit the standard price for a leech spot is pretty much accepted as 200k which normally goes to pay for the tank.
Personally if I'm going to burn then it tends to be in a LS burn pt and we don't charge, if we haven't anyone on in the LS that wants it at the time then we'll offer it to anyone that asks free of charge.

How do you figure?
I should give up my 30k exp spot for free?
3 Smn, 1 Sync, and 2 Leeches. The 2 leech spots belong to the 2 people who pull. (3rd puller is usually an LS Smn dual boxing) If they want to give up 30k exp for someone else, they **** well deserve to be compensated. Assuming the average leech, would get 10k/hr in an exp party (based on people leveling jobs anywhere from 20 to 37 for a sub, or all the way to 75) 30k exp is 3 hours of work. If you're not making close to 100k/hr then it's not worth the time in my opinion, and that applies anywhere in the game. I charge 300k a run, I'm also on Pandy. I think that price is high, but I didn't set that price, the other Shells that smn burn down there did, and I just matched their prices, when I was approached with people willing to pay. Personally I don't think it's worth 300k, but it's smart business to accept the highest price people are willing to pay. As long as people are willing to pay, I'm willing to accept. The minimum I'd accept is 100k, the reasonable price I would say is about 200k.

I am on Shiva and our group has been selling spots for about a month now. We usually "ask" for 500,000k per pull but will accept down to 300,000. Many times we have had tells with offers to pay 600,000 - 1,000,000. It is really quite silly and we are all happy to take their gil.

Whoa there, those 2 people aren't "leeches" then, they're earning their keep by pulling. As someone who has filled every role except tank in an Astral Flow party (SMN, sync, puller, straight up leech), I'd say the SMNs and Sync are actually doing less work than a puller who is working to pull an entire zone.

And I still say the people offering massive sums of gil are idiots. I mean, if they're willing to pay I don't blame the party getting the gil for taking the fools' money. But there's nothing stopping people from pulling the "if I can't get mad exp, neither can you" and messing up the pulls for the Astral party. I wouldn't pay for a spot myself, but if I did offer, say, 100k and get told I needed to pay more, I'd stick it to the greedy bastards and link half the zone out of spite.

I'd never mess up pulls for a party just Astral Burning and minding their own business. But a party who was selling spots? Frankly I'd love to see them get messed with.

I realize this isn't trading for real money, but aren't any of you worried about SE stepping in and lumping this in with paid power leveling?

I don't agree or disagree with smn burning, but I can't see it going on for much longer with all the attention it is drawing lately. Anything to good to be true usually gets the nerf bat from SE.

I know its been done for a long time, but seems like lately everyone is talking about it, good and bad. (I've even been seeing people with messages in bazaar note, asking for and advertising smn burns.)

Which is why they deserve to get paid if they aren't sitting in the party for the exp. Which was the entire point of my post.
