Does Conserve MP help at all on BPs? I don't have any relic yet (just hit 70 last night, so I can finally start bidding on it in dynamis), so was wondering if it would be worth macroing in for those slots where I don't have any SMN Skill, avatar effects, etc... Specifically looking at some of the level 68 cobra pieces until I get some relic.

Seeing as SMN was my latest addition, i havent yet had a lot of time with my Cobra gear and Scholar subjob (Conserve MP trait) on SMN, however, i've yet to notice it kicking in on BP's.

With all the percentages added together, it's next to impossible for it not to kick in atleast once every 5 BP's if it had actually worked for them.

I'm not saying it's not entirely possible, but so far i haven't noticed a significant diffirence. Nothing that caught my eye and made me go "Oh, conserve MP just kicked in".

I too am leaning towards it not working with SMN.

You make it sound like there is a doubt about it. But there is not.

Also, it´s description on an item would say "Avatar: Conserve MP+x".

Occasionally reduces spells' MP cost.

Technically speaking, Conserve MP might affect the initial summoning of an Avatar since you are actually casting a spell - although I've never noticed it kicking in, and the MP saved would be somewhat insignificant anyway. Bloodpacts however are pet commands, not spells.

It'd probably be more along the lines of "Bloodpact: Conserve MP+x".

Ok, no problem. Just figured that if it consumes MP (even if it were a pet command or job ability), it would fall under the "Conserve MP" category.
